This restaurant is a surprising exception in a long list of restaurants serving only pizza, pasta and risotto. The food is exceptional, inventive and delicious. The waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. Our meals were superb and I cannot imagine a better restaurant in the entire area. It was a divine experience.

All the meals are written on a blackboard (there isn't a menu). The Maitre d' came along to the table to answer our questions and explain the fine details. Although we chose not to have a starter we were each served with a small but delicious taster. There were four of us eating and, between us we had three different main courses, all of which were excellent. The desserts too were exquisite, especially the chocolate souffle with blood orange icecream and passion fruit creme brulee served with buckwheat ice cream,The ice creams were, of course, home made. We had an excellent bottle of wine.

To give some guidance on price the starters were 11 euros, the mains were 21 euros and 7 euros for the desserts. The wines started from around 25 euros for a bottle. Now this is a place for a special occasion. the chef is one of the top chefs in Slovenia and you could definitely tell. The food was excellent in every respect.

It was the middle of January and very cold and snowy weather so the restaurant was very quiet. Nevertheless there was a welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant was pleasantly warm and the Maitre d' very pleasant and helpful.

We would recommend this for a special occasion and we will go back. I almost forgot to mention there was a stunning view of Bled Castle from our table which was floodlit at night.

It was a cold and rainy evening, the restaurant was so inviting...charming and small. They only have one wine menu! Once you are seated, the magic begins. The charming young waitress is knowledgeable about the food and wines and how to pair them...good start....she suggested we enjoy the chef's surprise menu and enjoy we did! Delicate spices blending in mouthwatering combinations....my partner had an appetizer that came with a plate covering it. We removed the plate and this smoky, aromatic steam billowed out...the shrimp inside were tender and smoky...what a delicious treat! The cuttlefish ink ravioli...oh!!!!! From the pumpkin soup to the pistachio ice cream...perfect! Loved the experience!

This was our last dinner of our 10 day vacation and probably our best. The vibe was upscale and seemed more city-like than alpine village-like, but it still had a cozy feel. It's a French influenced menu and it appears that it changes daily. They recommend a prix fixe dinner, but you can get a la carte. Wife just got a meal and I got the prix fixe, which comes with 2 appetizers, 1 entree, and a dessert. I had a smoked tuna appetizer, which was served while still smoking. Good. Can't recall the other. They also serve complimentary french bread with fresh sliced prosciutto. For entrees, we had the turbot in bouillabaisse sauce and the veal back special. Both were outstanding and the veal was served with white truffle mashed potatoes, which were incredible. The dessert was so unique, but delicious...buckwheat ice cream with passion fruit creme brulee. The wine list was solid and service decent. There were fireworks outside when we were there, which just gave the perfect end to a great meal. It's expensive for Bled, but paled in comparison to anything in Venice or Dubrovnik. Reservations weren't necessary
