“Great location, great service”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

Stayed for 3 nights from 5th through 8th July 2014. Young Irish couple and 1st time visiting Bled. On arrival we were very impressed with room, exactly as presented in pictures with great location in relation to lake. Literally 2/3! minutes walk to the lake via steep hill. Staff are very attentive, organised a taxi for our visit to nearby Vintgar gorge and very helpful and attentive during breakfast and dinner service. Dinner was a great experience, on the hotel terrace overlooking the lake with very knowledgeable wait-staff offering insight on the local options. Can't recommend the lake highly enough as a destination, beautiful setting and very peaceful with lots to do and would also highly recommend Hotel Triglav as a base.

Room Tip: All rooms have views of lakes so no issues there. We stayed in top floor with views via a roof windo...

This hotel looks quite small when you arrive. When you see it from the "lake side" you find it is twice the size. We were greeted in such a warm and friendly manner that you instantly felt " at home". The staff on reception were extremely helpful throughout our short stay (Directions, recommendations, information etc).

The room was very nice and instantly "cosy" and "homely". All the facilities you require were there. Everything was very clean and of good quality. The rooms look out over the lake, as does the restaurant, outside terrace and the bar.

The hotel also has a swimming pool, sauna etc. Towels etc are all provided down at the pool area. There are also loungers available at the pool and in the area between the pool and sauna etc to relax and look out over Lake Bled.

A nice touch at the breakfast table was a hotel news sheet. This gave you various information: weather forecast, events on at the hotel (Wine tasting, sample menu meals etc). It also gave lots of other travel and tourist tips/information i.e. you can take a steam train trip from Bled railway station (100m away) away down through the mountains etc to the Italian border (Journey approx 3.5hrs). You have half a day to explore the area and then it brings you back in the evening. We asked and apparently it operates every Saturday during the summer season. The trips sound excellent as the scenery in the area is outstanding.

We had an evening drink on the outside terrace which overlooks Lake Bled. Wonderful view.

Breakfast is taken in the restaurant, which again has a view out over the lake. The breakfast is a buffet, although any hot items are made to ordered as is any specially coffees etc. It was all very good and the staff were excellent.

Our only regret about the whole stay was that it was only for one night on this occasion.

We shall most certainly return.

The location and the views of lake Bled from the balcony were stunning. The rooms were spacious and lovely. We needed two rooms, and it worked wonderfully as we got rooms adjacent to each other with a connecting door. Antique furniture, lots of lovely details throughout the hotel. The only thing I didn´t like was that the tv was very small and in an awkward spot, normally not the most important thing, but as soccer world championship was on it was a bit annoying. internet worked perfectly. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, but still better than some other hotels we stayed in whilst in Slovenia. Compared to other hotels we stayed in whilst visiting Slovenia, I found this one to be quite expensive, but all in all it was worth the money just to get that marvelous view in the evening... We had a car whilst staying here, but it is possible to take taxi, horse taxi or tourist train as well though it is quite far from shops and other restaurants...

Room Tip: it is worth paying more for the view...

Beautiful views over the lake. A friendly welcome and transfer to the hotel from a delightful chatty receptionist. He was helpful throughout our stay and an absolute star. The room was clean and comfortable. Our evening meal was delicious but that level of cuisine and the associated formality that goes with it, is less comfortable for us. The pool was very clean and pleasant, we didn't use the sauna but it looked great. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of food and lovely fresh fruit. The lake was easily accessible down a fairly steep hill with steps. It was a short walk then along the lakeside to other restaurants and shops.

We stayed here at the start and finish of a Slovenian mountain adventure that nearly cost our lives. The rooms are cozy, warm and fully equipped. We enjoyed the location above Lake Bled as well as the balcony each room has. Great food and wine cellar too. I had a hot stone massage that crowned the whole visit.

Room Tip: Lakeside is best.

Slovenia, Bled and hotel Triglav: unknown but a superb holiday proposition.
The hotel has tremendous views on the lake, nice rooms and the best restaurant (1906) of the region. Add to that the nice and helpful staff and you have everything to enjoy for 110% your holiday.
Have a lake walk and visit Tito's former vila Bled where he received heads of state, the Bled castle (grad in slovenian), Ljubljana ( so nice and not big), go to the coast and visit the Predjama castle
Return to the hotel restaurant and have excellent food with breathtaking views.

Room Tip: Ask a room with lake view (a must). Rooms on the other side must be avoided.

Warmly greeted and looked after by friendly staff of the highest professional standards. The dining room, new outside terrace and most rooms have outstanding views from balconies over Lake Bled. Our evening meal was of high standard and the breakfast buffet is extensive and of the highest quality. The decor is a mixture of old fashioned and modern, but tastefully done.
Our bedroom had plenty of storage and hanging space, a good balcony, and a good sized shower room / toilet. All of the staff spoke good English. This is a family hotel run by local people and is very highly recommended.
