“spicy pan-Asian food without too much care for authenticity”

Food: panAsian - which sometimes means it's not particularly authentic. In our case, neither Thai green curry with chicken nor Chiang Mai noodles (whatever that was, definitely not Khao Soi) were truly authentic. Both were very spicy - which was rather a good thing. Bizarrely, though, both were served with chopsticks, a fork and a knife. We had to ask for spoons, and those were promptly brought to our table. Even so, eating green curry out of a (very flat) plate was a tricky job.

Service: good and attentive, although a little too keen to hard-sell certain things, such as premium Belvedere vodka (more than twice the price of regular vodka). Just be firm and tell them that what you want is what you want, and that's that.

Location: just off Nowy Swiat. We walked in without reservation on Saturday night and were seated right away.

Interior: white and pleasant. Really pleasant.

I'll make it short. Great fusion cuisine. No phony decorations, very transparent meals. Anything from sushi to spring rolls and curries. The curry was spicy as it should be but could still taste the finesse of all ingredients. Good value too. Will go there again. For Warsaw standarts even drinks aren't a rip off.

During sightseeing in Warsaw we decided to have lunch in Papaya.
The reason was location and the menu.
Our decision was good. They served dishes in Thai style and you can choose a lot of different dishes starting from soups, salads, fishes, seafood or original Kobe beef tenderloin. I recommend a set of starters for 2 with different Thai specials.
In a summer it's worth to seat outside.

I have been to Papaya once with my husband and he has been quite a few times. Our overall view is that this is a nice restaurant in a good location but the food is average and a little pricey for what you get.

I agree with one of the other reviewers that Papaya is a good place for a group to go (especially on a nice day when the patio is open).

I had a tasty dinner hear: its a bit souless for my taste and it was pricey. Dinner for one (and not a heavy one), was 100 pln.

I think it would do better for a group of friends with something to celebrate. For comforting asian food, there are better options.
