Amusingly located through a small door next to a large KFC, this is a small but comprehensive museum covering various aspects of everyday life under Communism. It's worth a look if you're interested in that kind of minutiae (I very much am.) None of the exhibits really have very much depth, but this is a pretty good way to get an overview of what life might have been like back in that time. However, if you've been to a bigger museum of this type like the DDR Museum in Berlin, this one may not add much to your knowledge except in terms of specifically Polish things.

Literally the best museum in Warsaw. It’s not so big but gives you an elaborated frame about communism period. If you grew up in a poor country you can find lots of things from your childhood. Take your time, look at photo album and discover everything carefully in there.

Interesting museum that is set up with a light touch, and through sharing many facts still gives a good impression of life under communism; what stood out for me were the time line with facts -nice balance between serious historical things, what went on in the world and some daily impact facts- and the interior of a small apartment very interesting. Takes max one hour and that is an hour well spend.

I'm not from the communism times, and the museum greatly shows how life was like "back in the day". There is also a whole timeline if someone wants to know even more about events that happened.

This is a great way to go back in time and find yourself in your own childhood if you are a child of the 60’s 70’s or even 80’s (like me ).
Everyday items from every household in Eastern Europe not just Poland. Make sure you watch the 4-5 min movie aswell about the “what a great nation we are” propaganda...fun way to look at those times “problems”.
And also have some good old fashined food/sweets/beverage items from the well designed cafeteria in the museum. Have fun!
