“Welcoming B & B”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

We found this B & B very welcoming. It was very clean and comfortable. Nice interior decoration. I especially liked the wall stenciling in our room. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was a highlight as we were offered a variety of delicious, organic foods. It was fun to meet other guests at the family breakfast table. English was a common language . Our morning discussions with Jarek, the owner, we're very enjoyable; we learned more about Warsaw, present and past. It gave our trip more meaning. Good location to visit Nowy Swiat, Chopin museum, and Nat'l Art Museum.

It has been less than a week since we returned home from our most recent stay. This is truly a great place to stay, as you can tell from all the positive reviews. I absolutely agree that it would be worth spending a few nights in Warsaw simply to experience Boutique B & B! My wife and I have stayed here a total of 4 times since 2006, and are already planning our next visit for June of 2013, for the World Music Day celebration. The best parts are the breakfast, the location, the staff, and the host! I must say, I am mystified by the few negative reviews. Proof, I guess, that no one can please everyone. Please take those reviews with a grain of salt; this is truly a unique gem.

Room Tip: As before, I would recommend Apartment Queen if traveling as a family. As many others have said, I...

What a find...the choice of the B&B Boutique was all that we had read it would be. It's in a beautiful old building just a few blocks from the Nowy Swiat and Old Town....a short walk to the train station as well. Walking into the receptionist' area is like walking into a private condo.....tall ceilings, beautiful European wood furniture, rooms for sitting or visiting, a grand piano that is used to formal and impromptu concerts, a large dining area used to a "communal" breakfast and rooms that are totally comfortable and home-like. Breakfast is excellent, both the food and the company....guests from all over the world sitting across from you. The food is fresh, homemade, many different choices.....houska and various breads, homemade plum jam, several different types of cheeses, cold cuts, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, excellent coffee. The owner has tried to establish this warmth and it totally works. You don't feel a "don't touch" attitude at all. I highly recommend this place and hope to return to this wonderful country again!!!

Not sure why the last reviewer was so negative on this B&B but we had a great time here. Staff was very fluent in English and the breakfast, one of the main reasons to go to a B&B was EXCELLENT. The owner was not present at breakfast, but we had pleasant conversation at breakfast with people from around the world, sharing travel experiences. Breakfast is served at 1 long table that seats maybe 20 people or so, so there were plenty of people to talk with. Food was all over the table, so you did have to ask to have it passed or just get up and grab it. We spent 2 nights here in the King Room, which was very nice. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in a double room... the Kings room and loved it.

We stayed at Boutique Bed & Breakfast´s Queen Apartment for four nights with a group of three.

It´s really a special place and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
The location is very good. Close to Nowy Swiat (packed with restaurants and bars) the shopping district, Palace of Culture and the river. Old town is a pleasant 2km-walk on Nowy Swiat.
We booked the airport transfer on the B&B´s website in advance which cost 20€ one way.

Queen apartment consists of a bedroom, bathroom and living room with kitchen and sofa bed. It is very well-equipped and with a personal touch. There´s everything you are likely to need: kettle, tea & coffee, hairdryer, TV, books and maps about Warsaw, CD-player and music, ironing-board, fan and even a shoe shine set. Fresh apples were provided in the corridor.
The furniture is very elegant and there is lots of storage space.

However, we didn´t like the beds very much. The double bed in the bedroom is small and short, not suitable for tall persons. The sofa was not very comfortable either.
But we really loved the large bathroom with a bathtub and nice decor.
Apartment and bathroom were very clean and in good condition.

Breakfast is served on a large table for all the guests of the B&B. We enjoyed the good food: different breads and rolls, cake, vegetables, cheese, cold meat, eggs, plum jam, cereals plus tea, coffee, juice and joghurt. It was also very nice to have a chat with other guests and host Jarek! We met some interesting people from Europe and the US.
Most of the time breakfast was relaxing and nice. However, on one morning, the B&B seemed to be fully booked and the breakfast room was packed. It was really busy and I wouldn´t want to stay there again, when there are so many people for breakfast.

All in all, we had great days in Warsaw and really enjoyed our stay at Boutique B&B!

People apt to go to sterile cookie cutter "high-end" modern sterile hotels with their points will never think to look at this amazing boutique B&B, and the pity to them. We were fortunate, although guided by many positive reviews, it was much more than we imagined. This is a place where although it is their business, it felt like they do this because they actually enjoy entertaining and meeting guest around the World.

The location is perfect, easy to reach and easy to get around. The B&B is like coming home to your rental apartment in Warsaw with large rooms with high ceilings, huge windows, big tables, a fully stocked kitchenette, big bathroom with tub and towel warmer, antique galore and common rooms. The building is charming from the marble stairs, plants, iron banisters to the old fashioned elevators.

The best part of this B&B, as everyone says, is the communal breakfast enlivened by none other than our host Jarek. I regretted I did not have my camera with me then, although it may have been rude I truly wanted to capture the moment. The well laid out abundant beautiful breakfast table, various guest from all over the World, the antiques around us, the light filtering in from the tall windows and the interesting conversations surrounding Jarek was a picture perfect painting. I am a Chef, and the breakfast was extraordinary, especially the homemade honey. Even the soft boiled eggs were perfect! The compote made with apples and plums was delicious.

What topped it all was the music. There were quests participating in the World of Music event and as Jarek will have it, he had them perform an impromptu violin, vocal and percussion piece right at the breakfast table. Again we regret we did not have a recording device. But I know this experience will stay with us forever.
If that personal improvisation was not enough, the hotel staff recommended us the "Bibliotek" - an abandoned library brought to life with various artist/ musicians each night. There is no light, no heat, no furniture but fold up chairs and the ever changing artist painting on the wall as decor. But the music and performance was like a jam session that inspires artist across the board to share, collaborate, enrich and enjoy.

We really enjoyed Warsaw, Boutique B&B made it even better. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.

We found this little gem by chance - but it was wonderful. It's location (2 blocks from Nowy Swiat), and the rooms and breakfast meal were excellent. We liked it so much we spent one night, went away for a night, came back and spent one more. The people who work there are so hopsitable. The owner was around the building a lot, and he and his wife were so pleasant. I believe I have found my favorite place to stay in Warsaw. I hesitate to say that as I am afraid I won't be able to get a room there when I want one. Thanks, folks!!
