I had high expectations for this museum after recently visiting Beethoven haus in Bonn, Mendelssohn and Schumann haus in Leipzig and the Lobkowicz collection in Prague, which were all of a high standard.
What a huge disappointment. Whoever designed this "interactive" museum needs to be shot. It DOES NOT WORK.
Firstly, there are NO audio guides, and many of the digital LCD display guides are only offered in Polish.
The autographed music score on display is accompanied by an entirely different piece of music, which is played on horrible sounding speakers from the ceiling which actually rattle during the louder sections.
The deceptions don't line up with the prints, which are ALL photocopies (not just some like most museums, but EVERYTHING is fake!).
One of the two large projections with interviews with Chopin academics wasn't working, and many (>20%) of the fake photocopied display pieces were missing "due to conservation".
There are a large number of Sennheiser headphones to accompany the displays, but there are all in polish!
Don't waste your time here.
