“Outstanding and moving”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

This is deservedly one of Warsaw's top tourist attraction. It tells, in great human detail, with amazing pictorial and audio support the story of the attempt of Warsaw residents to regain Warsaw from the German occupiers, only to be betrayed by the Russians and left to die by the thousand. The role of children in the uprising is particularly movingly portrayed, and is no doubt one reason why on schooldays this museum s completely crowded out with noisy school groups - perhaps the only disadvantage for the more contemplative adult visitor. There is much to be silent about, as the enormity of the tragedy is taken in. It needs at least 3 hours to take in all the detail - helped by excellent audio-guides in every major language, and English captions on all the exhibits. One niggle is that the excellent Guidebook is only in Polish. It should be made available in a few of the major langauges, and certainly in English.

“Worth going to.”

You can take this in on the hop on hop off bus tour but I think it is actually worth visiting on foot. It is an excellent sculpture, very dramatic.

“Very Dramatic.”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

Worth looking around for and getting a bit lost. I really find this kind of sculpture interesting. It has drama and accuracy also. Take photos yes but take the time to look at the faces and think about who the people they represent were.
