“Modern IBIS in good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2011

Located about a 10 minute walk from the centre of the Old Town, this modern IBIS is a good choice for visitors to Warsaw whether for business or holiday.

In front of the hotel is the touching memorial to those who were transported to the gulags after WWII and on the way into the Old Town you'll pass the memorial to the Warsaw Uprising. I found the 10 minute walk interesting as I went different ways each time.

The hotel is a modern building with the standard IBIS rooms etc. The restaurant and bar seem well set out and from the high floors you may get an ok view over Warsaw.

There doesn't seem to be a lot around the hotel in terms of restaurants and supermarkets, however the Old Town isn't that far. It's also about a 10 minute walk to the metro which I use to get around town. There are also tram and bus lines near the hotel.

I've stayed here twice and will stay again next time I'm in Warsaw.

It was a one night quick stop over. The staff were friendly and helpful and access to and from the airport was very good. We had a late night drink and snack at the bar - the quality was good and it did not cost a great deal. All in all good quality with good value.

This is a large French hotel chain. We found the staff efficient and helpful. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location to Old Town, with many tram and bus connections to other parts of Warsaw. The free wireless is a plus; in addition, there is a computer available for use.

A great value hotel with its own bar and restaurant on a relatively quiet are of town but with good tram connections and a short walk into the Old Town. The room was clean, quiet and air-conditioned, breakfast was comprehensive and the restaurant food was good quality although if you were staying more than a few days and were intent on eating there everyday you may find the choice limited. It is a walk to other bars and restaurants.

I had a week to explore Warsaw in between business in Eastern Europe, and found the value of Ibis unbeatable. The rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely polite, courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable -- traits not common in other 2 star hotels in Europe.

It's not exactly in Old Town, which was a disappointment. There was at least a six block walk (15 minutes at a brisk pace) to the Old Town.

The restaurant had VERY delicious food, and fairly priced for the quality. My only complaint is they do not deliver to the room; I had to go downstairs and carry everything up myself after placing the order. Not cool. And the trays they provide are way too small to carry everything.

The worst part of this hotel is the pillows. They are pure garbage. The filling felt like wadded up newspapers or old cotton balls clumped together. After the first night, my companion and I both had stiff necks from the horrendous pillows.

I recommend this hotel IF YOU ARE ON A BUDGET, but BYOP: Bring Your Own Pillow! Otherwise, if you have $20 or so more dollars, there are other hotels of much higher quality in the downtown Warsaw area.

Clean, placid, quiet, nice large rooms, in the center of Warsaw. We paid only 65 Euro, breakfast not included. All the waiters and the concierge personnel speak English and German. The furniture are very cheap but for the rest it's a good deal in the downtown. Bathroom always clean and tidy, LCD TV in all the rooms. Recommended.
