It's nice hotel with excellent breakfast. Service is excellent.
However, the traffic front of the hotel is heavy due to the construction near by street. The noise from the traffic is bad if you stay on the street side. Currently the hotel does not have A/C. The high ceiling help. We stayed end of June temperatures in 80's.

I will stay again if weather is cool. The location is good. We walked to the old town cross the bridge. You can reach the hotel easily. If you arrive Warsaw East train station, taxi cost is less then 10. You can take bus 517 from Warsaw Central or a taxi (it cost us ~30 in the early morning)

Room Tip: Ask the room away from the street.

I really enjoyed my recent trip to Warsaw, and had a very pleasant stay in the Hetman Hotel. Yes, it's not in the centre of Warsaw but it is a very easy 20-minute stroll to the Old Town; for those who are too lazy to walk, there are plenty of buses and trams nearby that will have you there in a few minutes! Being more 'out of town' meant that the area is nice and quiet at night. The area where it is situated, Praga, has had a bad reputation in the past but being a lone female traveller, I felt perfectly safe at all times while wandering around there. I had a lovely comfortable room which was cleaned every day, and the wi-fi Internet worked with no problem.
There was a huge choice of food, teas, coffees and juices each morning at breakfast - I have noticed a few other reviewers complaining about the breakfast being too Polish, or different to what they have at home - you are in Poland for goodness sake, you should expect to be served Polish food! The buffet really catered to all tastes, and anything I tried was very tasty.
Anyway, in summary I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay that is not expensive or overly fancy, but a very comfortable, clean and quiet place to sleep while enjoying the gorgeous city that is Warsaw.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel if, like me, you prefer silence while sleeping!

We stayed at the Hetman Hotel for 4 nights in a triple room.Could not have been better!! A wonderful..good value hotel in the Praga area of Warsaw .The location is just over the river from Old Town..about a 15 minute walk or you can get a tram etc..But we walked it.The Hotel reception were wonderful and very friendly and helpful. The room was very big and comfortable.....clean..with coffee and tea facilities plus water added daily. The sofa was an open third bed...that was the only drawback ..it was lumpy in places and hard.but ok..we managed. The beds were very good.
Breakfast was excellent!!!!You had a choice of everything you can imagine! From eggs..all different ways..sausages..ham..cheese..spreads..salads..dips..breads..cereals..milk..coffee..juices..crepes...and on and on!We really enjoyed our breakfast time.
The area around the hotel had some eating places which we did use...very handy.A Mall just up the road as well as the old Russian Market.
What can I say..I cannot find any fault in this place..A good value top quality as far as I am concerned hotel with a wonderful staff! Go for it!

It was the second hotel in Poland I visited. It is not located in the very centre of Warsaw so be careful with taxists at the railway station – the first one asked for twice more money than I finally paid. Hotel itself is nice, staff polite and helpful, very big rooms, bathroom with bathtube. Breakfast choice quite wide including many salads. It not modern style rather classic, well maintained. Good value!

Unbelievable, Warsow is a very cheap city, but I would never imagine it`s possible stay in a hotel like that spending...nothing! The quality is great, the breakfast is a "lunch", with many differents options of foods and beverages!
They also offer still and sparkling water, teas, coffee, body lotion, and a lot of more things for free.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet, dark and spacefull!!!!

I stayed at this hotel a few times.
Rooms are very nice, reception-friendly.
Breakfast was good.
The hotel has a good parking.
But the location is not to close to the city center, you have to walk across the bridge.

I considered staying at a similarly priced hotel on the west bank of the river, but the Hetman was well reviewed, and included breakfast and internet access for the same rate, which made it great value.
The hotel is located less than 5 minutes walk from trams that will take you into the heart of Warsaw in about 10 minutes, or you can walk there in about 20. The eastern train station (Warszawa Wschodnia) is about 20 minutes walk (or you can ride a bus) and that provides direct links to Chopin Airport and the new, low cost carrier Modlin airport. They are also building a station for the 2nd metro line just around the corner, so the hotel is very well served in terms of transportation.
There is not a lot going in the immediate neighborhood of the hotel - there are only a few eateries, but the area is mostly commercial. The Zoo is only a few minutes walk away and there is a shopping center about 10 minutes walk away as well as an old style outdoor market. I used the hotel as a base for exploring locations on the west side of the Vistula river.
The hotel itself is pretty simple. My room was a decent size, but had only one single bed. As an American, I am used to the smallest room having either two beds or one double minimum, but one bed as all I needed! The bathroom was clean; it had a shower only, no bath.
Internet connection worked reliably. Breakfast was a pretty large spread with lots to choose from, although essentially the served the same spread every day.
The staff was very helpful when I had questions and were willing to look up Polish websites for me and help translate. Overall, I was very happy and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
