Owner description: Magnificent palatial and garden complex was built by King Stanislaw August Poniatowski during the second half of the eighteenth century and features the neoclassical Palace on the Water (Lazienki Palace) surrounded by magnificent gardens, canals and ponds.

Tourists can find it rather convenient to take buses 116 or 180 from the Old Town (ul. Nowy Swiat) to Lazienki Park and reached it within 20 minutes. The park itself is lovely and the neoclassical palace, called the Palace on Water, is even lovelier with mythological sculptures, paintings, etc. The flowers this year were not plentiful but you can admire animals like peacocks, swans, squirrels, tame as they are, in their natural habitats. Besides the palace and park, there are also other buildings of interest, i.e a small palace for state visits (king Louis XVI spent one summer here), an amphitheater hosting free Chopin concerts every Sunday Mar.-Oct., etc. This park is free on Thursday.

I am running there every day, early in the morning. Great place, peaceful and enjoyable. On Sundays there are great Chopin piano concerts...

To get here from Central station taxi would cost you only USD8.

It’s a huge park…. Make sure you wear one of the most comfortable shoes… the trails inside to explore the parks are clean, however if you wish to cover the whole park it’s too vast. Stroller and wheelchair accessible.
The park has amphitheater, Palace and white house and many more more thins….
You also would be able to enjoy peacock dancing, see a lot of peahens around and also red squirrels… very eye soothing…. Green everywhere…

There are no restaurants that I found inside the park but has benches at equal intervals to sit and relax. It’s a pleasant park where you can enjoy your evening. There is also a souvenir shop at the gate where you can shop for soft drinks and water and magnets and key rings and lot more stuff.

This is one of the most beautiful places of Warsaw, it is relaxing and has great views, get ready for a long walk and have some comfortable shoes, we went in a very hot day and there were plenty of places to get water and coffee, etc.
