“Visit the Royal Castle in this area.”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

Walk up the Royal Route towards the old town. Visit the Church of the Holy Cross on the way, where Chopin's heart is buried and the Grave of the Unknown soldier. Walk round the Barbican area to the Basilica, visit the Marie Curie museum, wander the back streets, full of little restaurants and coffee shops. End with a visit to the Royal Castle. Allow a full day if you want to see and enjoy everything in a leisurely manner.

“A walk into the past”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

Though the city of Warsaw as decimated by WWII, the city was able to rise again and rebuilt to how the city used to look. The colourful and ornate buildings are gorgeous, along with a cobblestone pedestrian walkway and the background music of an accordion make for an almost movie-like experience. Horse-drawn carriages are also available for those who would like to see the city from another vantage point. An absolute must see!

It's very impressive how beautifully the old town has been restored after being totally destroyed during the war! Hats off!

“December 2013 for New Year 2014 visiiy”
Reviewed January 1, 2014 via mobile

The Old City worth to be seen , visited and be part of it. Lots of historical places very clean and well maintained. The Imperial former road must be followed while it's worth to see all the contrasting things like old churches preserved since WW2 and the new shops on the road. This is a must to see place in Warsaw. Come and discover the contrasting beauty of Warsaw's places.

The best way to discover this part is to jin a free waking tour of the old city. Do not miss the castle, the palaces and the Chopin benches.
