Polonia Palace Hotel
Ranked #4 of 127 Hotels in Warsaw
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed March 24, 2014

I have stayed in many hotels and the Polonia Palace certainly ranks among the top 2 or 3. The hotel staff was incredible and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The breakfast buffet was second to none. There was a huge variety including eggs, herring, salads, fresh breads and chunks of milk chocolate.

On Friday nights they have an incredible Polish buffet which cost much less than ordering off the menu. The food was wonderful and hot. The variety of appetizers, main courses and breads was outstanding. Deserts were a bit of a disappointment but when we asked for some of the chocolate from the breakfast buffet they brought us a huge bowl.

After dinner we went into the bar for a nightcap. Our waiter saw us and bought us a round of drinks. In all my years of travelling and eating in restaurants that was definitely a first!

This is a big hotel which holds meetings and conferences, so if you like a bit of anonymity, which I do, then this is a great hotel. Not to say that the staff weren't friendly, they were all very friendly and helpful. The room was large, quiet (facing into the courtyard area) and comfortable, with good facilities. Initially I thought I would like to have stayed near tourist central in the old town, but loved being opposite and Palace of Culture and Science and it was near lots of interesting places. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but drank at the bar (using the complimentary drink voucher) and the food other people were eating looked delicious. Breakfast was very good indeed - a very side range of everything you could wish for, all fresh, including a chef to make fresh omelettes etc to order. A very good hotel for a few days sightseeing in Warsaw.

Choosing a hotel from a far is always challenging!! Trip Advisor sure makes things easier!! We stayed 2 nights and loved Polonia Palace!! People were great and always wanting to be helpful!! The breakfast (always important to us) was one of the best!! Every choice and then some!! The recommended area restaurants were very good and within a 5 minute walk! We were unlucky enough to have had rain. So we took a city tour from the hotel and it was great!! We flew into Warsaw and took the 175 Bus into town ($3.00 for both of us). Get off at the Central Train Station stop and walk one block to the hotel!!! Highly recommend!!!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the Palace of Culture and Science. (Take the elevator to the observation deck an...

International traveling at its finest. This one will not disappoint. Perfect lobby with updated and well appointed rooms. Almost every detail is covered. Room and housekeeping service is prompt and courteous. The fitness center and spa are updated, and a welcome respite after a busy day. The location provides easy access to historic landmarks, shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. Breakfast is a must experience and half price happy hour drinks are a nice touch.

Only issue was with the wifi service. It is offered free for 1 hour (lobby only) or it can be purchased for 50PLN or $17 US per day. Can quickly become significant for a 3 or 4 night stay.

Bottom line, you cannot miss with a reservation at Polonia Palace. The overall experience is 5 stars plus! Would stay here any and every time in Warsaw for business or pleasure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the lobby. It is a beautiful lobby, but can be a little noisy at times.

We are very pleased with this hotel. The hotel. It looks very nice and it has a perfect location. Close to a shopping center, train station and Old Town. Super room not facing the Main Street. Big rooms with good beds! Very service minded and friendly staff. Breakfast was memorable. Good restaurants nearby. Enjoy!

Perfect conference halls, professional service and great location for business meetings. Surrounded by main attractions such as restaurants, bars, shopping centers and museums, it offers a great view of the famous The Palace of Science and Culture. Also the restaurant provides great food (at least for breakfast and lunch) and a wide variety for all tastes. Very well organised and managed.

Room Tip: Rooms with the front view of the Palace of Science are a bit more noisy (because of the traffic, but...

I really loved this hotel. It was central. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. The breakfasts were amazing with loads of choice, you could help yourself and it was always being topped up, you could even help yourself to vodka and sparkling wine. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
