I really liked the location of this hotel. However, there's no free internet, a shower which goes cold and warm all the time, no airconditioning and a lot of noise from the street and bars below in front of the hotel.
Gentlemen's club Sin is right in front of the hotel.

WiFi was a bit clumsy falling all the time and the room was a bit hot specially in the morning, but the room was ok, breakfast was good, has its own private parking and is conveniently located in front of centrum train station that takes you anywhere you want

The staff was helpful on our fist trip to Warsaw. They told us how to get to Old Town, about a mile away. It was a holiday so lots out walking the streets. The room was fine. We had an early flight so I asked for a 5 am wake-up and three called to make sure we were up, and the taxi was waiting--good service! You can walk to the main train station, a few blocks.

This hotel is in a good location, with easy links to public transport and the train from the Airport; it is also only a few miles from Warsaw old town, which is a great example of how you can restore a city centre to its former glory. The staff were welcoming and the public rooms were nice (and I was fortunate to enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the start of Tuesday's Jazz night), but the actual bedrooms were small and tired. The plug in the bathroom sink did not fit, so the water had drained out before I finished my wash and shave. There is also no air conditioning, so if you want fresh air you have to cope with the bustle of Warsaw life. However, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful (although packed as it is clearly a popular hotel due to its central location and reasonable cost).

Last year we planned a trip for Warsaw. Looking for a hotel we fell for Metropol Hotel as it was centrally located and most of all had a balcony. When one visit the site of Metropol, a picture shows where the balconies are located in the hotel and also the name of the hotel on the top of the building.
As we arrived by train we had to find the hotel. Looking around in a very busy roundabout we looked for the hotel and found a building that could be the one, but we could not see the name or see that there should be any balconies. The hotel name has been exchanged with a commercial for a company called Lotos and in front of the balconies were a commercial for Skoda, later exchanged with one from Tesco and Lufthansa (picture).
Because of the commercial, the rooms lacked a lot of light (picture) as well as the balcony could not be used for any city view (picture). The hotel should not market balcony and city view and take a lot money for NOTHING.
Anyway Warsaw was an interesting city.

I visited this place a few months ago and was not much satisfied with this hotel. Although location near the central station made it my choice, but other things were below expectations. Rooms were not too big and even balcony was also small. All the things needed for a comfortable stay were present. But, services of the staff were not satisfactory. Breakfast was not included in the stay, I had to pay for it and it was expensive. I had planned a 3 days stay at this hotel and I cut it short to 1 day.

I went to Warsaw on a whim recently for 3 nights (4-6 April 2013). Chose this hotel because of mid price - best hotels were £300 for 3 nights, could easily stay eg at an Ibis for £100 - this was somewhere in between at £200 for 3 nights including breakfast, executive single room.
I was very pleased, the location is very central, not far from the central station and the Palace of Culture. I walked to the old town one day and the Lazenki park the other. Near the hotel there are loads of modern shops incl M&S, TX Max etc, and by the railway station a big modern shopping centre (with foodhall - lots of interesting food options), so in general I felt very safe in what is a busy, modern city.
The room was lovely with a walk in shower, and a very easy to use safe which was very useful. Also a good telly, kettle etc, hairdryer. Felt very safe and comfortable.
I got a nice welcome on arrival from english speaking staff and very much enjoyed the breakfasts - a busy, medium sized restaurant with all the usual hot and cold breakfast food, more than adequate. I did eat in the hotel one evening, a nice piece of polish pork with salad, it was a relaxed, quiet atmosphere and the service was good.
This isn't a particularly posh or remarkable hotel, but perfectly adequate and comfortable. And I notice that the location is at the very junction that is considered to be the centre of Warsaw, eg if you look at Google maps.
Would definitely recommend as an adequate, comfortable hotel for business or pleasure - unless you're looking for a more exclusive atmosphere, or a more interesting modern building.
Tip - I was advised to get a 175 bus from the airport which stopped nearby - you need 5 zl to pay the driver in cash.
Tip - you don't need to worry about public toilets in Warsaw, there are loads particularly in the shopping centre and the subway tunnels around the station and near the hotel. Very impressive, I wish London was like that!
Tip - In the subway tunnels there are lots of little cafes and bakeries, you must try some of the sugared Polish donuts they sell everywhere.

Room Tip: I was on the 9th floor with a view of the busy junction; wasn't bothered by the noise though. T...
