Sheraton Warsaw Hotel

I stayed here twice for business in November and December and each stay was one week. I have gotten to know this hotel very well and it was good that i had two separate experiences to compare. This hotel is a great luxury hotel in a beautiful city.

Even at the US Embassy rate, this is an expensive hotel. The Sheraton Warsaw does possess everything you would expect from a five-star hotel. The rooms are large, plush, comfortable, clean, and quiet. The bathroom is also luxurious and the robes that are provided add a spa feel to the room. The internet in the room was a tad expensive and didnt work as fast as a United States DSL would work. I chalk this up to being a large hotel with alot of business users taking up bandwith.

The dining options in this hotel are exceptional. Breakfast was included in our room rate and I looked forward to this outstanding meal every day. The buffet is filled with variety including standard cold cuts to fancier fishes such as salmon and mackeral. The breads were plentiful and the omelet station cooked an eggs to order. The coffee was always quick to be refilled and the staff was pleasant. The Someplace Else pub in the hotel was always hopping with people and sometimes a band was playing during happy hour and late into the night. The food here was also pretty respectable and was similar to what you would get in the states at Fridays or an Ale House. The staff all speak excellent English.

As for location, this might be the only downside of the hotel. For a five star hotel, I would hope for a little better location near the historic town. It was a pleasant, but long 25 minute walk to reach the beginning of the old town. The walk along the Royal Road is very beautiful with lots of sights, cafes, and restaurants to enjoy along the way. The hotel is also very close to the Palace of Culture, which is next to several large shopping complexes and a stone's throw to the main train station in Warsaw.

I really enjoyed this hotel and it made the reality of leaving my family for a week a little more bearable. I would find it hard to recommend another place

My husband and I went to Warsaw for a birthday/valentines treat and a relative had recommended that the Sheraton was the best place to stay. It was in a pretty good position - didn't cost much to get to from the airport by taxi and was not right in the centre but a pleasant walk away.
The reception area was very impressive, clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and got us checked in really quickly although check out was longer than I would have liked.
We had a deluxe room which was a great size - we had a nice big comfortable bed, living area with a sofa for chilling when we decided to watch a bit of TV. The bathroom was lush, all very clean and neat looking.
There are a couple of bars and restaurants within the hotel, we ended up back in Someplace Else every evening, even if only for a drink after eating elsewhere. The atmosphere in there is really relaxed and the staff very friendly. The food is great if you want something easy - similar to TGI Friday sort of food. The drinks are average or maybe even slightly above average compared to UK prices which make them extortionate compared to other places in Warsaw. There are, however, a good few places to get good food and drink within easy walking distance of the hotel which are much better priced and not necessarily lesser quality.
Warsaw is a lovely city with lots of history, interesting buildings, good bars and restaurants and great shopping.
I would definitely go back to the Sheraton in Warsaw, it offers quality you can trust but for a very reasonable price. My husband and I had a really great time and have some very fond memories of the place.

two night stay for business trip

Slow checkin, however, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very expensive internet. Giant room and comfortable bed. Nice bathroom as well. clean and cosy. Phone in the room was from +/- 1973 and functioned accordingly.

Nice breakfast.
Very central, walking distance to nice restaurants and cafes.

Nice hotel, but toooo expensive for what is received.

We stayed three nights at the Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, Ul. B. Prusa 2, and enjoyed it very much. The staff were very professional and friendly, the room was well above average and the total experience was great.

This location is in the "embassy district" of Warsaw. Many Polish government offices are close by as well as a number of international embassies. The neighborhood contains many high end shops, museums are close by and there is a huge park one block away. Walking is easy and seems safe even at night. The hotel has limo service available as well.

The only down side to this hotel is the cost of food and drink. The lobby bar seemed too expensive and the weekend brunch as well. I know most of the hotel guests are on an expense account (we were not) and for them cost is no object, but it seemed a bit precious in the end. We spent most of our time away from the hotel sightseeing and visiting friends so this was not an issue. We did make full use of the room coffee and tea machine. It was great to come in from a cold walk and have a comfortable cup in the room. As an alternative, there is a small grocery across the street but we never had time to use it.

We stayed at two Radisson Blu hotels before this Sheraton and the difference was VERY noticeable. The Sheraton was a much better experience and given the choice I would choose Sheraton over Radisson every time. My quibbles with this Sheraton are very minor and probably would be overlooked by 9 out of 10 travelers.

This is my fourth or fifth stay at the Sheraton in Warsaw. I stay at the club level which is a great deal when booked in advance on the internet. The club is cozy and warm and feels like your personal living room, and apart from breakfast, has a decent spread of interesting appetizers and fruit available from around 1:30 in the afternoon, replenished when happy hour starts at 6 pm. The hosts at he club are helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to making suggestions about what to do (one picked the perfect shopping center for me to do my Christmas shopping). The gym is spotless and well equipped, and the spa services are excellent -- the massages were easy to set up and both masseuses were professional and very good. The only negative I can think of is that the prices at the Oriental restaurant are a bit absurd -- while the food is very good, eating for one can easily exceed the room rate. However, this also reflects a general Warsaw problem -- a view that restaurant dining has to be pricey. Altogether highly recommend the hotel -- a perfect haven in wintry Warsaw, a home away from home.
