“Good hotel in good location”
Reviewed May 21, 2014

We stayed for two nights without any problem. We felt very happy to have chosen this hotel at the start of our Eastern European tour. The rooms were clean. Courteous and friendly staff, especially the front desk staff. Well spread breakfast with helpful restaurant staff. We liked the location of the hotel, not too far from the business center. Overall, a pleasant experience.

We stayed in one-bedroom suite for 4 nights and have absolutely no complaints. The apartment was big, a bit old but comfortable and absolutely silent (windows to the garden). The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was spacious, a separate toilet (although there could have been another toilet in the bathroom, it is big enough). Breakfast was great and the staff in the breakfast room was very friendly and effective, extra bonus for them! The area itself is not very cosy and you have to walk a while to find shops and restaurants (10-15 mins to the main train station), but traffic connections are good to the centrum and to the airport.

Room Tip: Garden side have no noise

You always except good hotels and service at Radisson Blu and this time I really tested it. I had a few challenges during my stay in Warsaw and needed to stay an extra night. The staff were absolutely wonderful in solving this and other problems not related to the hotel. 5 STAR service all round!

This hotel ticked all the boxes as far as a centrally located business hotel should. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms and helpful staff.

All this would have amounted to nothing were it not for the great customer contact skills of the Duty Manager, Monika. The hotel had the misfortune to host a function for a local bank where the attendees over indulged to the point of being extremely raucous and inebriated. Monika came on duty having to deal with the situation and I only have the highest praise for her frankness in facing the issues and dealing with them. The end result was that I didn't harbour resentment for the stupidity of the bankers.

Room Tip: It's probably quieter on the side away from the trams

Had my second visit at this hotel this time. Radisson Blue Sobieski is a nice hotel, with nice rooms. However, I feel it lack some "personality" - the little extra that makes it more like home than a hotel. But for a good night sleep, this is a good place to be. Quiet, despite situated near a major street, and close enough to the downtown area. 10 minutes walk from the central train station.

Breakfast is good and varied, and gives a good start of the day, whatever reason you're in Warsaw.

Dear Roffee

I know what you mean, but when the hotel is fully booked with more than 800 guests staying, it is sometimes difficult for staff to give the individual service that you expect, but I can guarantee that they are doing their best.

Stayed in the hotel for three nights from Friday to Monday with my wife and young son who is under two. The room was ok, but the carpet was dirty and could do with a deep clean, there was also a very odd smell from the sink in the bathroom which was unpleasant.

We had requested a cot for our son and we're hugely disappointed to be given what look more like a laundry basket than a cot and there was obviously no way we were letting our son sleep in it! Also on the 2nd night our key cards wouldn't work on the room door and after two trips to reception, it transpired there was a problem with the battery in room door lock. Whilst it was fixed swiftly, not what you would expect of a radisson blu hotel...

Also there was a €190 deposit taken off my wife's card when we checked in but we weren't informed of this when we checked in which is unprofessional behaviour.

The hotel has some good points, especially the location but plenty of work to be done to get it up standard

It was a pleasant stay! Walking distance to center of the city and great value for the price!! For 100Euro it is excellent hotel!! The service was so good, the bellboy greeted me pleasantly and carried my bags to my room. But, the breakfast was not included for the price.
