“Nice hotel”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

It was a nice hotel, spacious and clean rooms with minibar, tea and coffee supplies. Very well located with connections to the airport and city center of Warsaw. The hotel had as well a exchange currency office. Safe area.

Apologies for the 6 month delay in reviewing this wonderful hotel.
My partner and I went away in January for our 11 year anniversary and we got a good bargain. The hotel is central and we were very near a few eateries, there is a lovely turkish rustic restaurants a few minutes away from the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and modern. Unfortunately as it was in January we were right in the Prom Season so Saturday night there were young people dressed to the nines which was a sight to behold but unfortunately the music was so loud and it went on until half 4 in the morning, I personally cannot sleep when music is booming so loud so i was a bit miserable the next morning. Other than that I cannot fault the hotel. We had to take a taxi to the old town which was so magnificent with loads of amber gem shops we spent a few hours going round it and managed to walk back to the new town. I would recomment Raddison Blu Soblieski, just not in January (Prom season)

Dear MarthaMangoyana

it was nice to hear that you had a nice weekend in Warsaw.

I am sorry for the loud music from the prom. We should have given you a room to the other side of the hotel, so that you would not have been disturbed. Please accept my apologies for this.

Best regards

On the outskirts of the City on a busy main road. I did not suffer any noise as I was at the back.
Rooms were fine, bathroom nice and bright, with good shower. Air con did not seem to work, there was a control unit in bedroom but seemed to have been disabled. Needed to open the french door to allow the heat to escape as there was no other opening window. Did not like the Public areas, decorated in orange/red from 20 years ago. One room served as the bar, restaurant and lounge seating area, I felt really uncomfortable sitting at the bar towering over a female diner at a table just 3 metres away, could not have been good for her either. I took my drink to lounge area where the tables were too high for the lounge seats:) It was also difficult to get served there despite the prescence of 5 waiters, seems there was an issue that a restaurant waiter could not take your order in the lounge area. I gave up trying to get another drink and went outside to find a bar. Breakfast was an horrendous experience, it was in a large circular room with a glass dome roof, it was completely full of people, incredibly loud. There was no free table so I had to stalk finishing guests in the hope of nabbing their table. Although a maitre d was taking your room number at the entrance there was no attempt to show you to a table. Maybe because I asked him to clear a table for me, the waiter never offered me any coffee though I saw him offer coffee to nearby guests. Overall a completely unrelaxing experience, just too chaotic for my tastes.

Room Tip: Book at the Marriott or Radisson Centrum :)

i am really sorry to hear that you had such an awful experience. What worries me most is the fact that my staff did not seem to be focused on their work.

Please accept my apologies for this!

I was in Radisson BLU Sobieski in June 2013.

Hotel is located not so close to old town but it is not any problem to take TAXI or bus (both are front to the hotel). In the front of the hotel it is easy to found shops.
Hotel has got private parking, price 80 PLN / per day.

I was nice surprised by staff - they substitute my Standard Room for Suite.
Suite has got 50m2 - separate saloon and bedroom.
Bathroom was also separate with toilets - very good if you travel with family.
Everywhere was clean and nice even is hotel has got some years.
AC was working very good and quietly, outside was about +30' so AC was working all the time.
Cosmetics - Anne Semonin Line, very nice, love this flavor.

Breakfast was very good with many variates. Waiters was very helpfull offering coffee.

In the end I wrote about biggest plus - people that working there:

First for person that offer biggest room when heard that I am with one more member of my family that count when I book a room,
Second for concierge - he was really helpfull and engaged (run on the street to tell me that I am going in wrong direction),
Third for charwomen for them jobs and really honest smile and "have a good day" :)

In the end - I recomend this hotel !

Room Tip: Nr. 315 - Suite with garden view, not any noise from main street.

Nice Looking hotel inside and outside. Rooms of decent size and well appointed. Free Wifi was nice. Breakfast Buffet had good selection. It would have been nice to be able to easily walk to Old Town Warsaw but I do know Old Town is easily accessible by public transport.

Located a little bit out of city centre, the Sobieski hotel remains just nearby a tram station, very convenient to go there. Although the external front and the hotel lobby looks a bit ugly (pink paint, with no charm, lobby in pink marble, 80s looking, not very fancy). The good surprise comes from the rooms (that looks refurbished), nicely decorated and well equiped, with comfortable bed, the bad news are that the duvet is very short, and your feet will "enjoy" some fresh air at night! (I am 1m79 only!) so if you are 1m90cm the bed isn't for you! Acceptable breakfast choice, if you don't mind the convention like crowd in the morning, or the huge tourists groups. No possiblity to pay in foreign currency out of the working hours of change office. At the end remains a good value for the price.

Dear Rafik B

thank you for your feedback.

i am very sorry for the fact that you had "cold feet" during your stay. I did not know that our duvet are so short, but I will have a look into it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Stayed for a couple of nights on business. An OK hotel. Decent restaurant and bar. Rooms of a reasonable standard and free Wifi. Air conditioning in the rooms seems to be a bit of a lottery. It was 30 degrees. In my room, sometimes it worked, sometimes it went off in the middle of the night and then it wouldn't come again. Same story in my colleague's room down the corridor. Calls to reception made, but it didn't get fixed. Or it was fixed and then went off again.
