I have had mixed experiences at Mecure hotels this year but I was pleasantly surprised with my stay in Warsaw. The hotel is very central and a 5 minute walk from the central train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi was free, which is rare for Accor hotels. It worked well for me. My room was spacious and comfortable. My only negative would be that the bathroom could use an update - it seems a bit tired. Also, the bath towels were a bit small as well. I didn't eat here so can't comment.

The hotel is generally very nice with clean rooms, polite staff and nice decor. It's very centrally located and the rooms are well insulated and quiet. However, there were a few annoying things:

- The towels were weirdly small and thin for such a plush hotel
- We paid for 'premium Wi-Fi' but were put in a room on the top floor where there was barely any signal. This was really annoying because we had actually paid for the service. It was impossible to connect via phone and the laptop had very bad signal.

- while it offers 24 hour room service, all of the options past 11pm had ham in them. Literally all of them. So if you don't eat pig I wouldn't rely on getting a meal if you arrive late. There's a McDonald's over the road though.

Apart from that it was pretty good. If those things aren't likely to bother you then it's privacy a good place to stay.

This hotel is located in a wonderful central location as indicated by the name "centrum". It offered all the amenities expected of this type hotel and the breakfast was top notch with an almost over whelming choice of items from which to choose. Wi Fi is offered in all the rooms and throughout the hotel. My room was spacious, clean and had a wonderful view.

Room Tip: I would think that rooms on 3rd or higher levels would be best as far as being away from noise and people traffic.

This hotel has been renovated in the past 2-3 years, so the rooms and lobby are modern and in good order. My room on the top floor was very quiet and had all the facilities you would expect from a Mercure and more. They are doing some renovations in this hotel but I only heard the renovation noise occasionally during the day -- and it wasn't loud.

The location is excellent - directly across the road from a large shopping centre which has a supermarket, many clothing shops, a food court, a cinema etc. It's also within 5 minutes walk of the train and tram.

The meals in the ground floor restaurant were really good - a mix of traditional Polish as well as some typical western food you could get elsewhere on the continent. The breakfasts in the other on-site restaurant were a bit average.

The only problem I had with this hotel was the wifi in the rooms was sometimes very poor - I often had to go downstairs to the lobby to connect to the net. Also they could do with some new towels!
