Excellently restored, impressive royal palace and gardens. Colourful!
Good to see it in the snow, large lake at the back, completely frozen!

“Beautiful gardens!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Wilanow Palace is a wonderful Baroque royal residence. The whole building is surounded by beautiful gardens when you can take a walk.
Inside the palace you can fins the museum with exhibition.
The exposition consists of two parts: on the first floor, there is the GALLERY OF THE POLISH PORTRAIT, where you can see the effigies of the Polish monarchs collected over the centuries, representatives of great magnate families, participants of national uprisings, eminent artists and people honored by Poland. Their authors are often prominent Polish and foreign painters.

“Very Beautiful”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

We visited here and we walked in the house and throughout the gardens. The place is really beautiful. It was free the entire month of November, we really enjoyed that.

“For history connoisseurs”
Reviewed November 1, 2012

Real fans of history will never be bored in that place. Starting from the overall view on amazing palace we went inside where you can spend hours. The beginning was rather average, many rooms and corridors with paintings of Polish kings and nobility. It get interesting after a while and we can see all the beautifully furnished chambers and offices. Pay attention to details. Each furniture or decoration has an amazing touch that proves how long it took to create a masterpiece. This place shows the years of glamour.
We used only audioguides and it was absolutely enough. Ladies securing each room were very helpful and passionate about the place, very patiently answering all our questions.
If you are not interested in Polish history nor you do not want to be aware of it, do not waste your time and go somewhere else :)
After visit you may go and enjoy traditional Polish cuisine in one of Palace's restaurants located at the entrance.
Hint: take bus 117 from the city center or 519 ( express line). You are there in no time.
