Owner description: Considered Poland's highest building, this monumental skyscraper (circa 1955) contains 42 floors at a height of 230.68 meters (756.82 feet), topped with a needle height of 43 meters (141.08 feet).

This nice gift from Stalin is really what the Poles consider an eyesore of their city, BUT with all the building in the last 10-15 years, it is not as prominent as it once was. It is nothing special, BUT you shouldn't miss a trip to the top of it to view the whole city from that vantage point.

If you've never seen a real Soviet skyscraper, it's worth a visit. The locals hate the reminder of Soviet dominance. I stayed in a hotel right across the street, and there was little else to see nearby. It's obvious that most of Warsaw was bombed terribly during WWII, and then the Soviets came in and did not restore it's old world charm. Instead, the neighborhood is shabby Soviet with random modern glass sky-scaping hotels rising up above the Brezhnev-era buildings.

As I live in the city, know it's background, I am not a big fan of this building. Still, looking at it from a tourist attraction standpoint, I must say it is worth a visit. It is big, similar to Moscow "palace's", so one can feel a bit of communism time architecture without visiting Russia. The price tag to get on the balcony is a bit pricey, but on a nice day, worth to see the city.

This is one of the first building you will see when exiting the central railway/tram/buss station. Looking a bit like Empire State Building it's without discussion the main eye catcher from all around central Warszaw.

In broad daylight it might lock a bit dull due to the gray color but visiting the place at night is really nice.

Really nice but not worth the money to go inside. Save you money and take some pictures on the structure itself, it's enough to make you remember it.

Just go upstairs with the (very fast!) elevator and you will have an amazing view over the city. The inside of the building is rather strange and gives you that communist feeling. Really worth a visit!
