“Must visit”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

The tomb of the unknown soldier is a monument dedicated to unknown soldiers who gave their lives for Poland. This is the only surviving part of the palace that was situated here until the end of the second world war. There is a model of the palace just behind the tomb, it makes you realise the scale of destruction that Warsaw suffered during the war.

“Warsaw sight seeing”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

Only a few minutes spent here, but long enough to see how the Poles have suffered in various wars over the years. Still manned by soldiers of the Polish army, a place to pay your respects to the Polish nation

“Striking and Beautiful Memorial”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is striking and beautiful. It is a very somber and moving experience to see it and think of the countless men and women who gave their lives for freedom. It is easy to get to from almost any part of the City. In my opinion the Tomb is not a tourist site, but a shrine to Polish heroes.

“Very Simple and Very Moving”
Reviewed April 6, 2014 via mobile

It's a quintessential tomb of the unknown soldier, guarded by two soldiers. Respectful. Dignified. Simple. Moving. You don't have to be Polish to appreciate the sacrifice made by this soldier and many, many others.

“Beautiful because of its simplicity”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

you only need 5 minutes to see this monument, guarded at all times by two soldiers. If you are lucky you can follow the change of the guard from the Presidential Palace to the Tomb for the exchange...a simple columned building, lisitng all the Polish Conflicts ( of which there are many ) moving because it is so simple and the bare ground all around adds to its charm
