“An Important visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2010

because everyone who visits Warsaw should see how the German occupation affected the city and read the German policy towards Poland

However despite some prevoius reviews it is perfectly ok for teenagers and is not in itself a horror show --do not be put off our 13 and 15 year old had no issues

“A very moving experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2010

We took the advice from others in this forum and found the place very easily. It was a very moving experience, not many people there which made it good. The place is looked after by a couple of people and when you enter, they will play an information video. Itis worth watching. Looking at the cells and reading the information presented was very informative.

“Slightly challenging to find but don't miss it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2009

Located at Al. Szucha 25, enter via the courtyard at the Ministry of Education building. There are no signs and little about it in the local tourist guides. Anyone interested in WWII history must go there. Walking down Al Szucha look for an address sign on a building labelled Al. Szucha 25. The Ministry of Education is now here and there will be a gate and a courtyard of sorts with the musuem on your left just past the gate. Once through the gate it is obvious; the location is not in the back of the building as another review suggests (perhaps it's been moved). I would rate this the number one attraction in Warsaw, Ghetto Wall fragments second, Warsaw Uprising Museum third.

“Unforgettable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2009

Gestapo headquarter was very powerful experience, it was very distracting. We could have a small hunch about how people felt when they were taken to this place during WW2. After this place you´ll never forget the feeling, it was a big relieve to get out of there.

“Do not take small children into it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2009

It is horrific, but it is instructive. Only those with strong stomachs and constitutions should go in and should be prepared for awful sights. It is a horrible walk through evil but needs to be maintained for no other reason than to teach people what happens when monsters take over. It is far too explicit for children or even young teenagers.
