“The "moments" only get better!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Over the past year I have had an opportunity to enjoy Atelier Amaro more than half a dozen times and the "moments" seem to only get more interesting and pleasing. Five "moments" continues to be more than enough food, the wine list a perfect compliment and the micro-brewed vodka from the Gdansk area remains a special treat for guests. I have used this for business dinners, celebrations and for the pleasure of a special meal. There is always a willingness to accommodate my non-meat dietary request. Enjoy!

“Amazing art of cooking”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Im not an expert in haute cuisine but me and my three collegues spent a truly amazing evening there. Every dish was fascinating and unbelievably beautifully prepared almost two nice to be eaten. The menu card only listed out the ingredients but did not say how they were going to be prepared. We chose "5 moments". Cheap by comparison to similar restaurants in Germany or elsewhere but worth every penny. I'd say on a par with Mosconi and Lea Linster in Luxembourg or Beckers in Trier.

“What an experience!”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

You have 3 options I think its the 5, 8 or 12 experience. Please go for the 8 or 12. Note as its gourmet food and if you are American make sure you have a had a good burger with fries before dinner. You will be hungry after.

“Intense flavours and great service”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

This is super food. The range of ingredients was impressive, making me think more than ever have before of the great natural foods in Poland.

We had the 5 moment menu, which with extra amuse bouches made 9 dishes in total plus tea and little cakes. The moments were small but intensely flavoured. (We spent two and a half hours eating them.) We had a couple of glasses of wine each, plenty of water and some amazing tea that tasted of the forest floor mixed with honey. Young pine apparently. It came with two 'pine cones' made of nuts and other things arranged on a birch twig on a green leafy plate.

Every course was fun. The plates were an event in themselves. Each one was different, not just in shape but texture. Some snails with wild garlic came in a porcelain egg; the lamb on a large grey thin concrete plate, the dessert on a spectacular jewelled dish. Even the side plates were beautiful.

Some of the dishes stood out, though all were good. I was amazed at the flavours bursting out of a 'sandwich' - a thin crisp square that tasted of the sea. A bowl of 'dumplings' was a nod to the traditional pierogi but here they were light and exquisite - beetroot shells with goats cheese, pumpkin with sauerkraut. The lamb was tender with a rich jus. Horseradish was used to good effect in a couple of dishes, as was salsify, dill and tarragon. And never has Jerusalem artichoke tasted so good!

The young staff and attentive maitre d' were unobtrusive yet enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their food and drink.

It was just dinner - but it felt like a special occasion and was great fun. We intend to go back next month to try a different menu.

Incredible. We decided to eight moments and each of the eight dishes that tasted was unique, particularly in combination with a suggested set of liqueurs and vodka - definitely recommend this option.
Atmosphere very nice and very relaxed - great contact with the team that impressed skill, at the same time being able to enter into dialogue with nice guests.
Price - indeed high, but fully zrrozmiała taking into account location, quality and professionalism. I would definitely look for an excuse to visit Mr. Wojtek again.
