“a bit of real Portugal in Warsaw”
Reviewed February 13, 2012

After two trips to Lisbon we were looking for a good portuguese restaurant in Wasaw. And we found it! With a chef from Portugal you can't be mistaken!
Food is freshly prepared, filo rolls just great, cataplana de bacalhao - delicious and large :-) and it costs around 15 Euro. You can choose from (I think) more than 100 portuguese wines. The have special offers for sea food on Thursdays and Fridays.
And don't miss famous bolos de nata with your coffee.
Highly recommended!

“very good”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

A good example of Portuguese food. i wish Warsaw had more. Price is medium high. Wines are briliant! The coffee could be better.. they mix Torrie with Nicola, meaning, sometimes its ok, sometimes its not because Torrie is not good, Nicola is very good. Service is good, sometimes a bit slow. The place is great!

“Excellent Portuguese wine & food but pricey”
Reviewed March 19, 2011

We are regular visitors at Portucale, and if you are looking for good Portuguese food & and a huge selection of wine (especially Vinho Verde) this is the place.
I can recommend both the Cataplana & the Octopus, but I have never eaten a bad meal there.

The staff are friendly and relaxed - contributing to an unstressed atmosphere. Jose Costa & Manuel that run the place are obviously doing a good job with returning customers.

It's an upscale place considering the prices, and a bit out of the way (though still centrally located and easily accessible by tram & taxi - 10 min. from central Warsaw). Plenty of parking space next to the restaurant, which otherwise is often a problem in Warsaw.

The owners have a shop with Portuguese wine & specialties upstairs.

All in all warmly recommended.
