“Wonderful memories of the past, today's disappointment.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

When I was growing up in Poland, this was a special place for my family. Today, it is just an average bakery with a long history. It's overpriced. Napoleonki, sernik were not eatable. Paczki were OK, but not fried on a fresh oil. Best of all - jagodzianki. We will not return.

“Coffee & cake”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Love the quality of the cakes and good coffee, served by uniformed waiting staff working for one of the oldest and traditional Warsaw catering dynasties.

“Good ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

We were recommended to try this cafe because of their Paczki ( Polish Donuts). I am not an expert but thought they were good. I did think the cakes and tarts were much better. My Polish daughter in law had the Pierogi which she said was very good. Ordering was a bit slow but the food did come out quickly. Think it is a place to be seen.

“WARSAW'S ICON !!! Collecting Rust !!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

The best years are, for a time being, behind A. Blikle. They were for many years the only place in town to offer the best "PĄCZKI" (Polish Donuts). Now, there is no differentiation point for Blikle, other than their location on Nowy Swiat Street. It is still a good place to have a "Chlodnik" (Polish Cold Seasonal Soup) during summer months and to get "pączki". But, is it enough to go back there more often ? I do not think so.

“Ideal for a break over coffee and a cake”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

I received 2 recommendations for this cafe and was very impressed by the first impressions. The staff are friendly and professional and the decor contributed to a pleasant setting.

We order drinks and a paczek (traditional polish doughnut) to share. Everything was delicious, I had the authentic iced tea which was unusual yet refreshing.

There is also a patisserie and a delicatessen located next to the cafe, well worth a look for good quality food.

Whilst it was more expensive than other cafes in the area, it was very much worth the little bit extra.
