We stayed at the Platinum Residence for two 4 day periods - last week and then again this week. Let me say first of all that this is not a hotel. Much better. These are comfortable apartments, furnished with IKEA style furniture - uncluttered and comfortable. For the first stay of four days we were upgraded to a corner suite on the 11th floor. This was comprised of a separate bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen adjoining the living room. Both the bedroom and living room had flat screen TVs with a wide selection of stations. For the second four days, after our return from a weekend away, we were placed in a studio apartment, again on the 11th floor. The studio consisted of a living and kitchen area, an adjoining bathroom, and a bedroom area separated from the living area by a wall the same width as the bed. Again, both bedroom and living room had their own TVs. Both of the apartments also had air conditioning, which can be a real blessing when the weather in Warsaw warms up.
The location of Platinum Residence is quite central - within walking distance to the Old Town, Saxon Gardens and the Palace of Culture.
Underground parking costs extra as does internet.
There is a small supermarket downstairs, between the two towers where you can buy provisions at about the same price you would pay at the larger supermarkets further away from downtown.
There are also several small restaurants in the area between the two Platinum towers.
The front desk staff is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and all of them speak good English. They were kind enough to store one of our suitcases for us during our weekend away,.
If there is a downside to the Platinum Residence - it is that there seems to be disconnect between the housekeeping staff and the front desk. For example, in the first apartment, a whole row of bulbs was burned out in the bathroom. In most hotels, this is something which would be routinely inspected by the housekeeping staff, reported, and addressed before the next guests check in.
In the second unit, the liquid soap dispenser in the bathtub/shower was almost empty. In addition, there was a huge screw (which had previously held a door stop) sticking out of the floor next to the entry door. Had any of us stepped on it, serious injury would have resulted.
To the credit of the front desk staff, as soon as I reported any of these issues - maintenance was dispatched within minutes to address it. Nevertheless, it ought not be up to the guest to tend to what should be routine inspections.
The above notwithstanding, this is a great place to stay, the price is right (particularly if you book in advance), and we have no hesitation recommending these apartments.
We will certainly be back on our next trip to Warsaw!
One final comment - about the elevators. We have travelled widely but the elevator system here was brand new to us. You enter your desired floor on a control panel on the wall outside of the elevators. The unit indicates which car (A,B,C or D) is assigned to you and in you go. No buttons inside the elevator except door close and open. Quite ingenious really.

This is not a hotel. It is in a nice location and close to downtown, but there are no amenities whatsoever. Plus no free wifi, parking is expensive, no the building is very very complicated to understand, the lifts, passageways, etc. This is certainly not a place for tourists.

We stayed here during the last week of May for 5 nights as a family of 4 in a two-bedroom unit on the 20th floor. Overall the unit was perfect for our needs. The size was good, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms clean and well lit.

A couple areas of improvement:

1) although it is a non-smoking unit, it smelled like smoke. They should replace all the carpets and drapes to clean it out.
2) needs a fresh coat of paint and the sofa needs to be steam cleaned, it has too many stains

The mall at the foot of the buildings has a good assortment of restaurants, and more importantly a grocery store and pharmacy.

We walked to the old town from here and it only took 20 mins. You are only 15 min. walk from Saski Gardens and the tomb of the unknown soldier.

A portion of the ghetto wall is down the street. This hotel is near were the Jewish ghetto was during German occupation. Also, the Warsaw Uprising museum, a brilliant museum/memorial/work of art, is one block away and well worth a visit. The kids also found it worthwhile.

Room Tip: If you ask for a room near the top they will work with you to get you as high as possible.

Visited for four days in late May 2013 for a business trip. Accommodation was a good sized studio flat on the fifteenth floor with very modern décor, excellent hygiene and cooking facilities. Some views of the city scape thanks to the height but not impressive; the neighbourhood is full of new imposing office buildings and there is a good 30 minute walk to the city centre (though not prudent to do this at night since the area is practically deserted).

Breakfast costs extra (EUR 9 per person) and is served in a French-style coffee shop located on the ground floor in a nearby mall connecting directly with the residence. A kettle as well as cutlery, plates, cups, tea and coffee sachets are provided free of charge in the hotel rooms so I opted to enjoy breakfast inside in total privacy. There is also an electric cooking hob, microwave, mini-refrigerator, dish washer and toaster.

No negative points really. The place seems to be well maintained. During my stay, workmen repainted the corridor on my floor with little dirt or noise.

The reception is closed from 2200 - 0700hrs so if you have to depart during that time frame it would be best to check out earlier. Staff is polite and helpful. They helped me to book an early morning taxi to the airport (0500hrs) for around EUR 16. Though I was slightly apprehensive due to the reception being closed at that hour in case of eventual problems, the taxi service was spot on and the driver was there in advance!

All in all, I was very satisfied with the service and while not exactly cheap or central, I would certainly consider staying here again when in Warsaw.

In 2012 we rented an apartment and were really satisfied. We thought that we would repeat this for my wife's birthday this year and rented a bigger apartment this time. We were highly disappointed with the apartment that was offered, it was very run down and in need of a paint job. Also a huge minus for the service that promised to deliver us a wine opener but after 45 minutes and two additional phone calls to the reception they claimed that they didn't have any openers left...This is not the way service should work in such a place...

Very nice place to stay. I don't know why all said the staff was rude. I guess it depends on what expectations you have. The nice thing about having a little appartment was that one could make own breakfast and feel at home. There is many shops around. Bought bread and newly cutted ham from the grocerystore.
If we wanted take away food, we just took the elevator downstairs and bought a pizza inside the same building. And we took it up to our room. We were eating out for most of the time. Spa and pool was amazing.

I think its a place for younger people that wants a bit of luxury whitout expecting staff to do chores for you that you can easily do yourself. The casino was also very nice addition to the trip. Dont spend all the money here though.

Pretty central place. Very cheap taxi. Better to find one in the street than the hotels taxis. Their taxis are more expensive.

Amazing bathroom, livingroom.
Huge closet for clothing!!!
A safe in the room, but never needed.very safe. Bring a little music device with you. Make it a little home.

The minus about the place:
The towels need a change after some days.... Shouldn't be paid for.

First class accommodation and first class service all for a brilliantly low price. I would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments even though we had some issues when checking in. Apartments are large, well furnished and had everything you would expect from a 5* hotel including washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and kettle. Great location with good transport links.
