“Not much, but worth 5min of your time”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

There is not much to see, just a few 100 year old 3D photos, but it is something unique and it's free.

“Fantastic place”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

My tour guide took me there - It's pretty hard to find that place by yourself. We've been there on Sunday, the day when you can see some pictures of Warsaw from before World War I. They're fantastic! While wathing pictures you can hear old Polish (at a guess..) songs, which make this place even more old fashioned.

“a MUST visit in Warsaw”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

This is one of the few original Photoplasticons in Europe! A photoplasticon is a machine that makes you watch 3D pictures taken in the beginning of XX century.
It's a magic experience that everyone should have while being in Warsaw.
The museum changes exhibitions from time to time, eg when I went they had "Old Warsaw"... it was amazing to see how the city changed and how it was looking like before the 1st World War!
This is one of the best and most interesting attractions Warsaw has to offer, it's a pity that so little people visit it.
Here the website (in Polish) with all news: http://fotoplastikonwarszawski.blogspot.co.uk/
Mind that it is closed on Mondays. Entrance fee: 4 zl (1 euro). Sundays free of charge.

“Travel back in time”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

The only one left in Europe. You walk in and it feels like you travel 80 years back in time. The whole place is great and fun - and centrally located. It takes about 5 or 10 minutes to look at all the pictures. It was great to see and experience what people used to do before movie theatres and home cameras and tvs were everywhere. Well worth the 4 zl. They change out the pictures once in a while.

“A real hidden gem!”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

If you're looking for a perfectly quaint glimpse in to the past, then this is well worth the trip. Hidden in a small, bright courtyard right near the Palace of Culture in the centre of Warsaw, it's a wonderful and brief experience away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city scene.

Don't expect such a warm welcome when you arrive, as the room is brought to life by a rather nonchalant attendant as you walk in and are directed to sit at one of the many cushioned stools by huge, dark wooden Photoplasticon viewer which more or less fills the entire wood panelled room.

The machine starts to whirr, the music plays and as you sit up and look in to one of the many, brass eyepieces of the viewer, the wonderful 10 minute, 3D slideshow begins.
