“History overload, but very well done.”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

This was a great museum with very modern displays of what went on during the Warsaw Uprising. I appreciate a good historic museum, but this place was a bit of history overload for me. I guess that goes to credit it's thorough coverage of the subject matter. That being said, it's definitely worth a visit, but I'd save it for a rainy day in Warsaw or on a Monday when admission is currently free.

“Remarkable place for difficult history”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

First of all about the location which may discourage some but at the end makes a lot of sense. Warsaw Uprising Museum is located in the Wola district in which big part of Warsaw Ghetto was located. Actually, not far from the museum some last remains of ghetto wall still stand in between streets. It is remarkable how the surroundings changed from that times. Now it is rapidly expanding district with some old buildings from 50s that rose from destroyed ghetto, rare houses that survived the war and new office building and skyscrapers. The museum itself is remarkable. Something completely different with lots of multimedia and original ways of display. You can experience every day of the uprising thanks to calendar cards that explain every day of it in detail. You can listen to recorded stories of survives. You can understand how big impact had the War to Warsaw and even more be amazed that the city is now rebuild and again expanding.

“Great Way to Get Overview of Warsaw and its Tragic History”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

This was our first stop when we arrived in the city and it was a very good way to ground our group on the city's history and what it has overcome.

“Lots of Reading”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

Great museum. There is a lot of reading involved. Not recommended for small children. Free on Sunday but it gets extremely crowded. Nice little cafe upstairs.
