“So much to see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

There's a lot to see and to learn about Polish history here. It's well worth a visit. It's a big museum so give yourself 2 or 3 hours.

“Avoid a school day!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

There's a lot to take in on your visit here, perhaps too much given its at times confusing layout. The level of detail is superb and I had hoped to to pick up a guide which would allow me to take things in in my own time. However, there was relatively little available in the small book shop. In addition, there were a number of school groups there and I was rather surprised at the lack of deference shown by them given the significance and solemnity of the surroundings. It's clearly an excellent museum but you need time and patience to fully do it justice.

“Probably the most "scenic" musuem I've seen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

I visited the museum a while ago and would like to return as when I did my first visit it was a special anniversary and the museum was full.

Not only it is very instructive, like a museum is suppose to be, but the decoration and tour feels like you are part of a live documentary.

Go for it, you won't be disappointed and will learn a lot about the independence spirit of the polish people that never resigned through the centuries and always fought for their liberty!

All the best,
Stephane

“This is a "must see" in Warsaw.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

For my son and me this was moving, to the point almost to tears. I was glad to see they put the horrific photos out of small childrens eye shot. Poland has been in the middle and has received such magnatude of war. This museum shows a part of the why I love Poland and how it can rebuild, never forget... but, move on.
This book is not about the museum but has amazing history of Poland and what when on before during and after WW2.

“Nice museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

I don't like museum but this one is interesting. It's not the conventional museum. There's also a 3D flight movie over Warszawa at the end of the second world war. It's quite dark inside but it gives the right feeling. The position's not so central. The neighborhood wasn't at its best (underground under construction). When leaving it's not so far from one of my favourite restaurant in Warszawa (Folk Gospoda).
