“If you like baroque, this is a place to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

Truly baroque church, full of cherubs, gold, glamour, magnificence and glamour! It's nice for historyand art lovers - but to like it you have to know what baroque means. The church is not very big and is situated in a bit hidden place.

“Honestly yes and no”

Fara is magnificent inside and outside - but this is just opinion as somebody who appreciate history and art. As a catholic I want to say that Fara is done with the pomp - it is glamorous, but it is far too much! You walk in and you feel overwhelmed with this whole shinny luxury gold things all over the walls. In my opinion it is just such a hypocrisy on the catholics that praying for poor people in such a glamorous place.
Worth to see and compare with churches in UK or Ireland. The purity of some of their churches should be introduced to us catholics on the main land of Europe!!!

“Beautiful Church”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

I agree with another viewer that many stone was painted to look like marble. But I like the color coordination both inside and outside of the church. A pinkish tone.
One thing I would recommend to do some clean up with the white statues. They look so dusty and the complete top has been colored to black. Maybe lack of budget or some sort.
Also there was a female person sitting inside the entrance asking for money. I have seen similar several other places in Warsaw too. Have to question about Poland's government welfare program. If someone has any idea would like to share?

“Baroque to the Max”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

This Church was once the chapel of the Jesuit College. The Jesuit College because the offices of the city, and the chapel became the parish church of central Poznan. At some point a church that was probably fairly austere went nuts in terms of interior decoration. For a church its size, it is overwhelming. Definitely worth a visit, especially as it is a three-minutes walk from the center of the Old Market.
