It is a very nice place, you can walk around the lake on the well-cared pavement. Ideal place for running as well, and there is a shopping mall beside. Next to the other side of the lake is the new thermal bath.

Really good area prob busier in summer a bit quiet when we were there . Good cycle areas all around the lake also a small train that goes up to the zoo and you can either get train back or walk .

Strange having a big lake in a city... one of the downfalls is that it can be a bit noisy in parts because 2 sides of it are next to busy roads... On the other side, how convenient to have a lake thats easily accessible!?

Malta is a man made lake and it is really long and not so wide. It's a great place to go when the weather is nice, for a relaxing walk, to ride your bike or to sit on the grass with a book. There is a path all the way around Malta, but it seems it was more intended for cyclists and roller-bladers - so watch out that you don't get run over!! :-o

Around Malta there are a lot of things to do - mini golf, a ski slope, luge, a bar, an aqua park, an Indian restaurant, a little train that goes on one side of it from Rondo Srodka to the new Zoo (Only in summer months April-October I think) among other things. There's also a big forest that you can walk around which surround the new Poznan Zoo.

Generally a nice place to visit and only a few minutes outside the city centre by tram.

A great lake to visit as an adult or with children. Lots to do and a lovely walk around (or a train!).

I liked the canoes and boat racing on the Malta Lake. The start is near the parking where the Indian restaurant TAJ is situated. They also have an outdoor bowling alley, a small restaurant serving kebabs and beer in the open under umbrellas. Good visit for a weekend with family.
