Very nice small hotel with stylish interior located just outside the old town centre (3 minutes by foot). Rooms are not very big, but furnished with high quality materials and thoughtful, fun design, very clean. The breakfast was very good. You can choose different warm and cold dishes which are then prepared fresh individually. When arriving, a welcome drink was served. But the best; the personel ist absolutely friendly and extremely helpful in any matter and really make you feeling welcome and "at home". Fabulous and great value for the money!

We stayed in City Solei on August 10-11, 2013 on our way from Strasbourg to Vilnius. Let me tell you - this young team of Poles are doing all that is humanly possible to make your stay relaxed, pleasant, comfortable. When we first drove to the hotel and saw a big car parking next to it, the impression was weird. But the big old willow tree in front of the entrance, little decorated tea garden and the creative interior decor makes you forget the parking lot instantly. Besides, we felt safe to have our car in the guarded parking lot anyways - if travelling with lots of stuff, it's nice to be sure that you can leave everything securely for the night. We are not very well familiar with Poland and Poznan, but the notorious Lech fans that probably everyone in Europe has heard of do not give a good general feeling, so extra safety is a very welcome thing in such a case.

However, what really impressed us was the sincere and warm staff. You can see very polite smiles and effective problem solving in many 5 star hotels, but sincerity is smth you can not buy. And here it was - genuine friendliness. It seems that this little boutique hotel really does not the golden truth - customer is your best friend, and if you make him happy - he'll be terribly grateful. We got all questions answered, welcome drink was brought instantly, the second we entered the room, our doggy was very happy to find a cute bowl with fresh water waiting for him, and the dinner was absolutely great. We tried that wonderful taste menu, when you can try 4,6 or 8 dishes from the menu (salads, mains, desserts - whichever). Probably, calories consumed were enough for a week, but we are NOT sorry :) Mmmm..... Food was great, service excellent, cozy and still very stylish hotel restaurant - a mix of homey feeling and luxurious establishment. By the way, nice serving table by the elevator was offering various juice and water with lemon - in summer time it was a great idea. Also the breakfast was a continuation of taste buds fest - lots of local delicacies, but also traditional universal breakfast meals.

We loved City Solei - and if ever we'll pass Poznan, I know for sure where we shall stay. Hey, we may even plan the Poland trip just to go to City Solei ;)

Room Tip: We stayed in Venice room - bathroom was extremely cozy, bed very comfortable, carpeting thick, soft...

I already knew I had chosen the right hotel when even my smallest inquiries were promptly answered by email. Once at the hotel, this was truly confirmed (we went for a wedding and everyone was staying at different hotels in town, and I definitely think we chose the best one). A few examples: the staff were super friendly and helpful for anything we needed (taxis, directions, recommendations); we were greeted with champagne and cookies (I would love the recipe for those...) upon arrival and sent off with cookies (really, can I get the recipe?); our room & bathroom (Havana) were gorgeous & spacious & spotless; the Occitane products in the bathroom were great; the breakfast (buffet + made to order hot food) was super yummy; it was a 5min (max 10min in heels due to the cobblestones) walk from the town hall which was perfect because we were far enough from the noisy downtown area for a good night's sleep but close enough to be able to walk anywhere in town...I could go on and on but all I am going to say is that if you are going to Poznan, definitely stay at the City Solei Boutique Hotel :)

Room Tip: The Havana was super spacious. From the pictures I don't think all rooms are so if it's imp...

The hotel is easy to find and is just out the city center, which is good as it is more quiet if you want a good sleep. The staff is very friendly and the hotel very clean. The owners have done everything right, good beds, good shower and breakfast. And for a great price. What more can you want!

When you finally arrive, the first impression you are having is "What the @#~ was I thinking when I booked this?" The area looks quite abandoned... there are no bars or restaurants nearby... and the hotel is quite small...

The hotel looks definitively better when you are inside. The staff is very nice and very helpful ... you are offered a glass of wine at your arrival... and you can also choose any of the thematic rooms available.

Every room is decorated according to a city on the world. I stayed in Lancaster... a "girly" room with a great bed :)

If I had to visit Poznan one more time... I would be staying in this hotel only if I am 100% sure I do not want to leave the hotel for a walk or for having dinner. Otherwise... I would be looking for other option closer to the center.

Wonderful boutique hotel I stumbled upon, on my last trip.. I am normally a Starwood guy, but this little gem is superb. Small, compact providing fantastic value for money. I will be back. Guaranteed. It's a 5 minute stroll to the square. Great location
