A mostly satisfacory stay. The service and facilities were fine and the location in the city centre excellent.
However, the stay was marred by the tiny bedroom and bathroom. It was difficult to move around when one had parked the luggage because it was so small.
The bathroom was also only of a just adequate size.

Hotel has the best years behind him, reception and hall make a good impression, but the closer to this room is more like the old era. Rooms are decorated in bright colors, but unfortunately not completely clean (dust on the bed frame).
Nice accent -chocolate praline - was received on arrival.
Breakfast good but with a relatively poor choice of dishes.
I expected something more from this hotel. His strongest point is the reception staff who were polite and customer oriented.
However, the next time I will examine whether to use the services of a hotel or choose another, especially as the cost of accommodation was not the lowest.

It is very comfortable, cosy and clear and has all necessary things as tea pot, cups, tea bags, biscuits etc. though it's nice, if you come late at night.
Breakfast is very tasty.

The hotel is located around a 15 minute walk from the centre in a reasonably quiet part of the town.
Parking is in front of the hotel. Free parking is available on the road if you manage to find a space; paid secure parking is available opposite the main entrance but access is off the road to the side/rear of the hotel. Signposts to the car park are visible as you enter the hotel ‘driveway’ but I still had to look for the entrance to it.
Reception fine and checked in nice and quickly. However, my room was a joke for what was described a ‘superior’. In the lift I noted that certain floors were listed as having superior rooms and I was not on one of these floors. I asked the question at reception but was assured I had been given the superior room I had booked. I hate to think what a standard room looks like.
They have a small bar in the foyer and I took a snack from here on the first night. A bit pricey but was tasty. Breakfast was very good and service in both areas was at a good level.
Overall a good hotel but, if my experience is typical, it’s really time they did something with the rooms.

This is an hotel built in the 70s and event though a little bit renovated, it continues to bear some kind of communist 70s style. Outside is grey and concrete style, inside is a little bit improved. Rooms are quite void, only TV, tea pot and wooden desk, the minimum of what is expected from Mercure. Nevertheless, they have maintained the global surrounding and the bathroom also was refurbished recently. Rooms are the same style than the building even though they try to make some efforts to prevent a feeling of grey life. The hotel is well located, not exactly in the old center but 10 minutes walk and you are there. Do not forget that Lublin is one of the nicest cities in Poland as it has been rebuilt or maintained in the old style that fully disappeared from Warsaw. So use the hotel as a place to stay to organize the rest of your tourism trip and try to get a good rate (for sure below 100 euros per room, probably better if you can negociate a deal).

Look for the deals on the internet - this hotel might be a very good value if you get the low price. Location is ok - walkable distance from the historical center. Free parking in front of the hotel. Rooms probably the same as in any Mercure chain hotel. Staff competent.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights for a business trip. I found the staff to be very helpful, though some of the receptionists had limited English. There are maps of Lublin available free at reception, and staff were happy to give directions when asked. I was getting a taxi very early on my day of departure, before breakfast began serving, and the staff offered to make me a packed breakfast to take with me which I thought was a lovely touch. There is also a comment card in the room with the name of the cleaner on it, and if you have any comments or suggestions for what you would like them to do differently you can write it on the reverse of the card. I didn't need to however, as everything was done fine.

I stayed in a single room with a double bed, which was clean and comfortable. The bed could have done with slightly thicker pillows, I ended up stacking them but I'm not sure what I would have done if there were two people sharing the bed! Otherwise it was comfortable. Bottles of water were provided on the desk, along with a kettle and tea and coffee, and in the bathroom had free soap, shower/bath gel, shampoo/conditioner, body lotion and a 'vanity kit'. The wardrobe had a bathrobe, show polishing sponge and sewing kit in it, along with bags for the ironing service - you can leave garments out for ironing and they will be returned by 3pm, though I did not use this so I can't comment on how good it is.

There were a few downsides; there was wireless internet available, though I found it a bit patchy - signal would sometimes drop for a few minutes. The water temperature in the shower could go from hot to cold and back to hot very quickly, though this only happened to me once while I was there - perhaps there were a lot of other people using the shower at the same time? I could also hear people walking and talking in the corridor, knocking on doors, and people outside on the street; this didn't affect my sleep, but lighter sleepers than me may find it bothersome. The curtains were made of a weird plastic-feeling material, possibly because it is easier to clean, though of course this didn't affect my stay.

The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of choice from hot food to cereal and a selection of bread and fruit. I used the restaurant one evening; meals are not included, but are very reasonable prices, and the traditionally Polish dishes are marked with a symbol. There was only one vegetarian option, but it was a lovely pasta and spinach dish so I did not mind. I had chocolate cake for dessert, which was ok but I wish it had said on the menu that it contained alcohol as I don't particularly like desserts with alcohol in them. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and efficient with good English, and they will take credit cards.
