Truly beautiful religious building. Very well maintained and peaceful . A calm oasis in the middle of the city. We went in at dusk and when we came out all the trees were lit up and the lamp lighter was doing his rounds lighting the gas street lamps

A very impressive cathedral to visit with great views available all round the building. Some stunning architecture and well worth seeing. Take a walk inside and remember to be quiet whilst there !

Wroclaw Cathedral also known as the Church of St. John the Baptist and located in the old town area of Ostrow Tumski. This is well worth the ten minute stroll from Market Square. The view from the roadway leading to the cathedral really gives you an idea of the sheer size of the Cathedral with its twin towers, The Cathedral itself is magnificent inside and you can buy tickets at 7 PLN to take the lift to the top of the Cathedral Spire. You will have to climb about 40 steps and then it’s a lift for the rest of the journey. The views Wroclaw when you reach the top are spectacular from all four sides. This is definitely not to be missed when in Wroclaw
This is really something that you need to visit and as you arrive at the site you’re are amazed with the sheer size and how the church dominates the landscape of Ostrow Tumski – you can see the church from many parts of Wroclaw such is its stature. We purchased two tickets at 7 PLN each for our visit and this entitled us to entry to one of the two towers. The bonus here is that you only need to climb 40 steps and then a lift takes you the rest of the way. The top is enclosed with wire so taking photos of the magnificent views can be challenging – but it’s worth the effort -. The Cathedral itself is quite striking.

Without a shadow of a doubt one of the most popular tourist attractions on Cathedral Island ,this is the fourth incarnation of a cathedral on this site.
Built between 1272 and 1341 the Cathedral was built in the Gothic style architecture ,the spires at 98 metres high are awesome.
During WW2 during the fierce Battle Of Breslau in 1945 the cathedral was 70% destroyed but starting from 1951 the cathedral restoration began to give us today one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Poland,it's definitely one of the most popular tourist destinations on Cathedral Island ( Ostrow Tumski) which is an area that is packed with exquisite architecture.
This is my third visit to Wrocław and Cathedral Island and I am still amazed at the fantastic architecture here and especially the Cathedral Of St John The Baptist, when you see the photographs taken immediately after the Siege of Breslau and see the devastation of not just the cathedral but also the whole of Cathedral Island it's even more amazing the fantastic restoration work carried out post war.
Most definitely well worth checking out on any holiday planned to Wrocław.

This is a wonderful cathedral that is very nice outside and in. The twin spires are most impressive, but inside is even more impressive - huge stained glass windows, wonderful decoration, and commemorative plaques. Absolutely worth a visit!
