Nice market with tipical Polish dried fruits and dried mushrooms, candy and flowers. Upstairs is less interesting (clothes).
On the right from the main entrance there is a place where you can eat. A meal cost 5-7 zloty.
If you want the Polish experience, leave the Cola and Fanta and grab a mug of lemonade.

We went in here en route back from the Cathedral but what is amazing is the array of fresh meats and also flowers. Nice to see something truly local and definitely having a quick peek.

This market is teeming with local shoppers. The building houses 2 levels of shops selling food, drinks, candies, flowers, clothing, and merchandise. A great accidental find, I would definitely recommend a stop here for 15 minutes of photos.

On the 2 occasions that I have visited friends in Wroclaw, I have always clamored to come back to this place. The Market Hall is housed in a high-celinged, multi-level buidling constructed between 1906-08 by German architect Richard Plueddemann; I am personally a fan of turn-of-the century architecture such as this, with its art deco-ish touches. The environment inside is lively and bustling much of the time, so be certain to stick close to other members of your party. The gound level of Hala Targowa serves as a market for practical items -- there are many vendors on the ground level offering fresh produce, candies, spices, dry and packaged food... basically anything you could find at a supermarket, but in a much more visually interesting environment. Many of the vendors I encountered spoke only Polish, so if you want the good prices and product offered by one of them, be prepared to point and try to pronounce words from a phrasebook if you don't speak Polish. If you go up to the second floor (the one above the ground floor), you can find booths selling housewares, kitchenware, and electronics, as well as cosmetics, toiletries, and personal items. However, my favorite aspect about the Market Hall are its specialized boutiques -- they are ideal for those wanting to pick up souvenirs or cute clothes to take home with them. One vendors specializes in goods from Asia; another sells a rainbow of different colors of tights (with different patterns and styles) and sleepwear/intimates. My favorite vendor, however, is the T-shirt and souvenir vendor, also on the second floor, which sells T-shirts, patches, mugs and other items printed with amusing sayings in Polish, as well as classic designs from Polish history: movie posters, advertisements, public service announcement, government campaigns, etc. I have bought a fair amount of stuff here when looking for a fun, uniquely Polish souvenir for friends back home. Other booths located on the second and third floors have other interesting consumer goods. This market hall is worth a wander if you are an American such as myself, as we don't really have public commerce halls such as this. It lovely to look around in here, there's interesting shopping possibilities, and it's something to do when the weather outside isn't so great.
