easy to find from Highway A 4 / E 40 and from Boleslawiec (f. k. as "Bunzlau): take mainroad out of Boleslawiec South East, after abt 5 km turn left at the last junction in the village of Laziska

located quietly abt 300 m away from any main road ,situated at the rim of Laiska, i. e. adjacent to large meadows and fields, forest in walking distance, no street or village noise, provides own horse and donkeys for riding

perfect service from internet / telephone booking over friendly and more than helpful staff at any time of the day and late night to a (though freshly preparing) quick kitchen

restaurant in cool sandstone vault (formerly: stables) as well as on the patio, freshly made Polish and international food (mostly organic, I presume), good choice of international wines at reasonable prices (try the Bordeaux but have it decanted for abt 30 minutes!)

3-bed-room in traditional Polish / Silesian country house style (handmade furniture), neat and clean, big adjacent bathroom (tub, shower, everything else), free WLAN, flat screen TV & DVD, safety box, no minibar but 24 hrs chilled drinks (bottled) near the reception desk, closet a bit small for 3 people

Jarek, John and Barbara: we´ll be back in 2011!

This is the second time I have stayed at the Blue Beetroot. I enjoyed the hotel staff all of whom were friendly and accommodating. They were a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area.

The third floor has recently been added to allow more guest to stay which is very nice. The availability to walk the grounds and through the woods was nice.
The food was excellent.

A friend and I stayed two nights over the Easter week-end to do Polish Pottery shopping. We were met at the door, escorted to our rooms and given directions and discount coupons to some of the vendors in the area. After shopping for a couple hours, we returned to have a delicious dinner in their cozy dining room. The facility has two floors of rooms. Our room had two twin beds, and a small t.v. with D.V.D player. Adequate for a two night stay. My friend was a little dissapointed that we had a bath with no shower. The facility has tours, manicure, and massage services. Their are books, puzzles and free D.V.D's. Their is also an outdoor seating area. The breakfast is excellent. Adequate free parking adjacent to the building. I will definately return for another visit!

My family and I stayed at the Blue Beetroot while shopping for Polish Pottery. John & Barbara are awesome. The place is very s peaceful and relaxed, and they try their best to ensure you have whatever you need. Barbara was wonderful with my son. She really wanted him to enjoy himself with the donkey ride though the woods. Even the other guests were nice. I would defiantly stay there again.

The Blue Beetroot just gets better! This was my second stay and even more enjoyable than the first. It's a wonderfully comfortable, delicious place to stay for shopping, adventure or just a romantic get-away.

Barbara and John seem to have chosen this corner of the world to create a haven for travelers and to contribute to a community in a gentle, responsible and ecologically friendly way. The addition of horse and donkeys is delightful, progress on the barn is lovely and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We shopped a little, toured a little and spent a lot of time just enjoying the comfortable environment and great cuisine. I not only would recommend this inn to friends but will take visitors there - any excuse to return.

The Blue Beetroot was very welcoming and accomodated us with a late lunch. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming, and the food was delicious. Our English hosts, Barbara and John, provided us with a list and map of local pottery and artists' shops, The restored barn behind the inn is home to a beautiful horse that can be ridden by guests. Further back are meadows and forests with rock formations. Barbara speaks fluent Polish and works with the local residents to provide the best for guests. The inn abounds with homemade jam and honey products, and it's very easy to book manicures and pedicures. With some advance notice, you can also arrange for a cookery class! On our way home, we stopped to see Zamek Grodziec and clamber about this medieval castle that has served as a location for films and is used for reenactments. Getting around by car isn't too bad - our GPS helped, but we did take a vew unplanned detours.
