I am not fan of behemoth hotels and this one is an example, at least at Zakopane scale. There are lots of smaller and more cosy hotels out there but Belvedere is surely one of the most luxurious. Big, comfy rooms with nice balcony, impeccable bathrooms. Nice pool and spa. Friendly and efficient staff. Kind of home-made cooking and baking, great fully cooked breakfasts and delicious pastries. Hotel is not far from city centre, 10-15 minutes walk to popular pedestrian promenade Krupowki, main shopping and dining area. And perfect starting point for mountain hiking, hotel is situated on the border of Tatras National Park. And a bonus to be overlooked- go up to roof restaurant to see fantastic view of Giewont, a most picturesque of Tatras!

Room Tip: Upper floors have better view, obviously

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights in late September and were very satisfied with the cleanliness, service, and extremely fulfilling breakfast. Granted, the furnishings are not new and modern, but that adds to the feeling of being at home. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, there's lots of hot water for showers, and a heated towel rack. We like to walk, so for us it was an easy walk from the hotel to the main market, though for some it may be a bit too far. And more food for breakfast than you could ever imagine! Meats, cheeses, fish, fruit, cereals, baked goods - you name it. Overall, a great stay at a lovely hotel.

Great hotel close to the national park which suited as we were hiking. Nice to come home to the pool, jacuzzi and ice bath in the evenings. Try the ribs in the rooftop restaurant. The breakfast was out of this world. Would return again.

My family & I spent 2 nights in lovely Zakopane in July, 2012. We had a room with 1 queen bed & 1 twin bed for our teenaged son. Our cousin had the adjoining room with 1 queen bed. The beds were new, while the room design was more classic. No complaints with the shower, good pressure and no shortage of hot water. Our stay included the morning buffet, which by anyone's standard is A1! An array of fruit juices, fresh coffee & tea, even an excellent fruit smoothie to whet the whistle. Too many fresh veggies, fruits, and meats to mention, let alone try. Many options of cereal, including cooked oatmeal. Bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, so much to eat. Need I go on? The Belvedere's location is great. On a quiet dead-end street, very close to hiking trails that will take you up as far as your legs can take you in to the Mtn range. No air conditioning, but fortunately we're in a Mtn range, so we slept with our huge window wide open, and perfect temps for mid-summer. We weren't in the room much, but it was nice to watch the Olympics as we relaxed at the end of the day. Love the little restaurant on the roof, don't miss the local delicacy, Oscipek cheese! I had to jog extra kilometres every morning so I could eat copious amounts of Oscipek!
