“Great place to stay”
Reviewed February 14, 2011

We stayed for four nights in the Red Brick Apartments at the end of October. We booked on the recommendations from Trip Advisor and we are glad we did. The apartment was on two floors, spacious, clean, well equipped and warm.
Red Brick is a good base for wandering around Krakow, not far from anywhere and close to the essentials.
We chose to take a breakfast which was served at the hotel next door, on reflection and with the knowledge we now have we would have been better placed eating out at any one of the myriad of eating establishments.
Will be going back soon.

We stayed for 5 nights at end of January 2011. What a lovely place - made better by great staff. We had mezzanine apartment which was HUGE! Slightly strange lay out but still very impressive - very clean and in great condition.

Facilities were superb - microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher. It was cleaned everyday - and they refreshed dishwasher tablets, coffee pods for coffee machine - even kitchen roll was provided - totally went above and beyond any housekeeping I have ever experienced.

Reception staff at red brick mad were also biralliant. They managed to get us a reservation for dinner at a very popular restaurant - they are on duty 24 hours a day so the front door can be kept locked. So friendly and nothing too much trouble for them.

As for the location - it was spot on. 5 minutes from old town. There is a bakery 2 doors away. There is large Carrefour in nearby shopping mall - but on day 2 we found a smaller supermarket on the street beside apartments and bakery. It was closer and cheaper - very handy for getting bottles water etc.
We loved krakow and red brick aparments!

Our first trip to Krakow and this venue was perfect. Situated very close to the train station, right next to a huge shopping mall & also only a few minutes to the beautiful Old Town - the location on a quiet street made it ideal.

Reception was always manned with very helpful staff & the rooms were very large. The bedroom was huge with comfy bed & the kitchen has fridge, microwave, coffee machine, dish washer etc. Cleaned every day, the location, facilities & price make it an excellent choice.

Very recommended.

What can i say about these apartments thats not already been said...they are top notch.Staff were friendly on arrival and courteous during our stay.Apartments are big inside with your kitchen including hob microwave kettle fridge.Bedroom is upstairs in an open plan type with skylights and loved waking up every morning to the church bells it was very peaceful. They are about a ten minute walk away from Market square with all its attractions and a few bars and restaurants are just around the corner. They are also just a five minute walk from the train station if you get train from the airport.Red brick is by far the best Apartments i have stayed in on any holiday and will definately return......sorry just one piece of advice try get an apartment away from street noise we had a fourth floor (top)and it was just perfect in every way.

Rooms: Very spacious rooms that was clean. My room (double occupancy) had 2 double beds and 3 rooms (2 bedrooms+kitchen). The rooms have a full kitchen which is nice if you want to do some cooking.

Location: About a 5 minute walk from the city centre. It's on a fairly major street so walking there at night was no problem; there is a bakery, a huge mall and a couple small restaurants nearby. It's also like a 5-10 minute walk from the train station so it would be very helpful if you were arriving/departing there.

Value: Krakow is not a very expensive city so there are plenty of hotels actually within the city core for cheaper. Given the large size of the room I would say that the value is average.

Overall: Pretty nice place, especially if you are with a family and need lots of space/want to cook. I don't mind spending a bit more so I would stay again.

Spacious, Clean apartments ideally situated in the centre of Krakow. Ten minute walk from the Main Railway staion & walking distance from the Main Sq.
There is a large bedroom, with big kitchen area & clean bathroom with both Shower & bath.
It was good enough to live there let alone stay for a short period.

I thought this apartment concept was really cool. My room was absolutely HUGE. Not only was the sleeping area huge, with a couch and tv in addition to the two beds, the kitchen/dining area was also huge, including an "eat in" area. I was there two nights but was hardly in my room, so I did not take advantage of the kitchen area except to heat up the kettle. I received 2 complimentary "welcome" bottles of water. Another bonus. you also recieve one tab for the dishwasher so you can clean your dishes. the location is fantastic. right by the train station, huge galeria shoping mall and very near the main square. it was very quiet which led to a good nights sleep. I think the hotel is non-smoking, a plus as I came to realize in Poland.

My only negative comment would be that they have duvets and not sheets and that kind of creeps me out. I am not sure how often those get washed. I did find a hair that was not mine, but the same has happened to me at home after washing and drying clothes, so I didn't fault them too much.

There was an odd $1usd tax that I had to pay before I left that is not included in the on-line booking fee. Luckily I had 5zlotys left and could cover the 3.20zloty tax
