On our last night in room 14 and have nothing but good to say.

Location is great, staff excellent, breakfast great and room is all you need.

Bed is large and comfortable, cleaning is faultless, as is the effort of all staff.

Upon check in we were given ample information to set our week off to a good start.

Trips were booked at reception with no effort at all, and all went well.

The rating is a 3 star plus; however I suggest it is a little low for the standard provided.

A big thank you to all staff and if we return to Krakow we will definitely be looking to come back to the Hotel Columbus.

Our stay in Krakow was made all the more pleasant with our stay at the Hotel Columbus. Friendly, helpful staff, tasty breakfast, clean rooms and good location all factored in to our groups memorable stay in Krakow. I was worried at first about the noise from the street but the windows cut down any outside noise so we had no trouble sleeping.Plenty of restaurants and points of interest are within walking distance. A very pleasant stay.

We stayed for four nights over the New Year and this hotel is right next to the Jewish quarter and only 15 minutes walk from the main square in the centre of the city. The rooms whilst they describe as double were of a really good size and certainly bigger than we expected. Housekeeping was of a very good standard. Breakfast was more than sufficient with fruit, cereal, yoghurts, bread and there was bacon and scrambled eggs each day. We had a room on the front of the street and whilst had read previous reports about noise, in our opinion the noise of the trams in particular was not an issue. Probably for us it would have been nice to have tea/coffee in the room and maybe something the hotel should think about for the future. The hotel was more than adequate for our stay and I wouldn't look any further if I returned to Krakow

As a couple we stayed at the hotel at the beginning of December for four nights. We arrived at approximately 7.30 p.m. and the young lady on reception was really efficient sorting us out. We were given a map of the local area and arrangements were made, there and then, for two trips for us to Auschwitz and the salt mines. We were on the front of the hotel and the room was really nice. Unfortunately we were disturbed by the trams which pass the building and so we asked if we could be moved to the back of the hotel which was done with no problems. The rooms at the back are really quiete so we got a good nights sleep once we had moved rooms. Rooms are quite large, comfy beds, reasonably priced mini bar and safe. The bathroom was modern with lovely shampoo, soap etc. and had a nice shower and white towels changed everyday. There are two rooms for breakfast and we did not have any problems getting a table but if you arrive at 9a.m. you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. Sufficient food choices for a good breakfast. The one thing which we missed was not having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It is a short walk to the Jewish quarter where we had some nice meals at very reasonable prices and about fifteen minutes to the town square. We would book this hotel if returning to Krakow.

Room tip: Request a room at the back of the hotel.
