I agree with jtrob97, a very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, good helpful staff. Good choice of food for breakfast. The only problem for us was our room was at the front of the hotel, which is on a much used tram route, therefore a bit noisy, but there was good double glazing and air conditioning in the room. We had trouble with the transport arranged to take us to the airport, it didn't turn up. Hotel staff very very helpful in sorting it out and remonstrating with the driver, when they finally found him. Nicely situated, 5 minutes walk from Jewish Quarter and restaurants, 20 from Old Town and 20 from Shindler's factory.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back of the hotel

We had a great five-night stay at Hotel Columbus. Every one of the staff we encountered was helpful and polite, no matter how busy they were. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and quiet, as it was on the back side of the hotel, overlooking the pleasant courtyard area. (The hotel is on a busy street, so rooms at the front may be noisy.) The location is perfect for exploring Kasimierz in particular, and for dining out at one of the many excellent restaurants in the area. Krakow is certainly walkable, and we reached the old town (Stare Miasto) and the Podgorze area easily. The most direct route to the old town is straight down the busy street the hotel is on, but it can be reached more pleasantly by sticking to lesser-traveled streets.
The breakfast offers a very decent variety, including crisp bacon, which can be hard to come by in Europe (in our experience). They will also cook eggs to order for you.
We recommend this hotel highly.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quiet and have a tranquil view.

We had a wonderful five days at the Hotel Columbus. The location was great and we were able to walk everywhere as we did not have a car. The staff was wonderful and helping to arrange all of our day trips from Kraków. We went to Auschwitz, we went to the salt mines, we did bicycle tours of the city, everything was easily arranged and paid for right at the front desk. Hey offer a delicious breakfast with lots of choices including fresh made eggs to your liking. Lots of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, homemade breads, cereals, yogurts… You name it it was available. We really enjoyed our stay and all of the wonderful incredible things to Kraków had to offer. Great shopping, fun nightlife, fantastic restaurants.... all in all it was a perfect vacation!

Room Tip: The rooms on the street side were a little noisy - that was where our room was - but not overwhelmin...

This hotel was a great find. Really good location, short walk to see different places in Krakow. Nice and clean rooms, cosy beds and refrigerator is definitely a plus!
Breakfast was great for us, fried eggs and bacon :)

Our room was facing the street and if you're a light sleeper you might find it hard to sleep. It didn't bother us :)

You may book trips from reception and pick-up to trips will be from the hotel.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper ask a room from back of the hotel.

Just got back from a great 4 day break with our friends, absolutely loved the hotel great position for all the bars and restaurants. The man behind the reception was lovely he told us the nice vodka bars to visit, also booked us in at this restaurant we was wanting to go to, nothing was to much trouble he also booked our trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines which was brilliant, we would definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends, we will definitely visit Krakow again loved the city, right signing off now as having one of our vodka shots which we brought back with us umm which one to try first.

We liked the hotel. It is well located, if you don't mind not being at the Rynek. Their service was good, staff was kind and attentive. Their breakfast buffet was small but everything was tasty and the quality was good.

A special point for the hotel: beds were very comfortable. Their bed linen was super soft and huge enough to cover all of our body (in Poland, many hotels have small covers that wouldn't cover a whole adult body), it felt like slipping into paradise after a hard day of visiting historical places. The room was well decorated and big enough, and had thick curtains that kept the light outside (again, not that usual in Poland). Our bedrooms faced the street but the windows isolated the noise properly and could sleep perfectly.

We loved this hotel and will definitely stay again. The location was perfect as it was right next to the Jewish Quarter where there are plenty of fine restaurants, not to mention the history. And it's just a 10 minute straight walk to the main square. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. We also enjoyed the free breakfast to get our days started. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone who ventures to Krakow - a wonderful city rich in history.

With fondest memories,
