We had a reccommendation to eat hear and we're glad we listened.
The restaurant is a minutes stroll from the main square, and a little quieter than those on the square as a result. I don't mean it is not busy, as it is a very popular restaurant and booking is necessary.
The waitor we had spoke very good English and had a great sense of humour.
Even thoguh the restaurant was busy the service was prompt and very professional, without being too stuffy, or over bearing.
The food was beautifully presented and was full of flavour and a very high standard. Some of our order was cooked in their woodburning oven which gave it a lovely smokey taste.
Pricewise this was similar to what you would pay at an average restaurant in the UK, but this was much better than average.
If in Krakow I would definately eat here again.

Previous poor reviews say it all. Extremely expensive, poor service, bland food covered In sauce. Not worth the 500 zlt It cost us for 4 people. Give it a miss!

We went to this restaurant as it was recommended by our apartment agency representative. We tried to get a reservation for a Thursday night ( my birthday), but were told they were fully booked, so we opted for a reservation for Wednesday instead since it was highly recommended. In short, we were terribly disappointed. I started with the tuna tartare and unlike some of the other reviewers, I have had it many times. This was grey and flavorless-like it had been marinated ahead of time. Not a good rendition of tuna tartare.
My husband had the soup in a bread bowl which was OK, but he decided on the special with pretzel and "high quality meat". The meat was overcooked , like bad pot roast and everything was covered in tons of mediocre gravy. My main wasn't much better. I opted for the veal leg in chanterelle sauce. Again, overlooked meat drowned in a cream based tasteless sauce that took away from the chanterelles. Maybe there were good ingredients at one time but now they were just overcooked and hidden in sauces! On a positive note, the wine list is very reasonable (wine is pricey in Poland) and the potato dumplings side dish was enjoyable. There are plenty of good restaurants in Krakow and for the value and quality this is not one of them.

We did not have a reservation so were fortunate to get a table. If you are considering a visit, and you should, book ahead. Despite how busy the restaurant was we were never rushed and the food and service were first class. Good choice of Polish cuisine not to be missed.

W arrived without a reservation but were given a table in the pleasant courtyard. The meal was excellent and the waitress friendly and helpful; she recommended that we share a side dish as she said that it would be quite sufficient and then prompted us to share a delicious apple dessert. The bill with wine was about £60 for two of us, which considering the quality of the food was fairly reasonable.
