“My favorite place to sleep in Krakow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2011

Spent several nights at this romantic, well-located, charmingly staffed architectural gem in September 2011. We had tried to book a room back in 2008 but it was full, so we were thrilled to get in this time. We had a suite that was bigger than most apartments we have ever had. The room contained a wonderful, deep old fashioned clawfoot tub (plus modern shower in the separate bathroom), large comfy bed, writing desk, sofa and chairs, plush area rugs, and heavy curtains. Internet was fast and free. There were open exposed wood beams on the ceiling. I could have stayed forever! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The restaurant in the basement was outstanding - we not only had a marvelous French dinner there our first night, but also breakfast every morning which included fresh fruit, yoghurt, strong black tea, delicious fresh breads from the nearby bakery, and more. I will be back for sure to Orlowska the next time I am in Krakow, which I expect will be soon!

We enjoyed four nights in the Boudoir apartment. It is a beautifuly furnished, well appointed and very romantic place to stay.
The apartments themselves are a five minute stroll to the main square and ten minutes walk from the railway station.
There are dozens of places to eat and drink nearby. although we found better options in kazimierz- Jewish quarter. There are several really good bars and restaurants there in an area a little quieter than the main square- Rynek Glowny.
Vinci was great for a good lunch and pint at Midday. In the evening we ate twice at Rubinstein where we found the food outstanding.
Many thanks to the warm welcome extended to us from Agnes the manager at Orlowska.
All in all a great city break.

Room Tip: boudoir is superb for a quiet romantic break.

When we arrived we were to stay in the Tower room that is not in the main building. What a disappointment as the place looked run down and it reeked of cigarette smoke. After a few minutes I decided to go back to reception and tell them we were unhappy. It took some insistence but eventually the manager, Agnes, was called and she said we could change rooms for 3 of the 4 nights were there. We moved to the Loft apartment in the main building and what a difference. It was a lovely apartment with two floors and no cigarette smoke. It was quite clean and well kept. Agnes goes out of her way to help her customers and each time we saw the owner he asked if everything was okay with our room. We were able to have our laundry done for us which was a real treat after two months of travelling and sitting in laundromats. The location is excellent and the price was great. Would recommend but do not stay in the Tower room.

Room Tip: stay in the main building and not the tower room in the other building

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Orlowska. We were greeted by the owners despite arriving at midnight. They brought our bags upstairs for us and personally escorted us to the parking place. The room was much bigger than we expected, with an entryway, sitting area and full kitchen. The location was perfect, with the main square two blocks away and many restaurants in the area (and obviously all around the main square). I can't think of any reason you would stay anywhere else, unless you can't do stairs as all the apartments are upstairs and I don't believe there is an elevator.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Orlowska which is the cheapest option anyway. Never heard any street noice and it...

A real gem. Location is just within the old walls of Krakow, three minutes walk from the heartstoppingly beautiful Market Square. The hotel itself is gorgeously decorated, with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a real dream of a room, packed full of beautiful furniture and bookshelves full of poetry! I never expected to find a combination of antiques and up-to-the-minute facilities. All in all, we had an unforgettable stay and would love to come back! The only tiny niggle I can think of was that the wireless Internet connection was down for a few days- but that gave us more time to explore the city and luxuriate in the wonderful surroundings of our room. There's a piano bar downstairs with live jazz and cocktails decorated in classic 1930s style, and in the cellar a fine (if quite expensive) restaurant. Thank-you for making our stay in Krakow filled with fin-de-siecle beauty, style and good food!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Poet's Room- on the first floor. Full of antiques!

We stayed in this place for the first time - but certainly not last! We called the place as it is situated on a street with no cars allowed, to find out about parking possibilities. We got precise instructions - on spot we were welcomed by a very friendly young lady who showed us the parking, checked us in, showed the room and made us feel already as guests. The room ( 1930 room they call it) immediately transported us back to the late 1920ies. Windows and balconies with view on a shaded backyard with a tree, fitted with art deco furniture and decoration and a discreet, fully equipped modern kitchen. The owners are French/Polish , very sweet and welcoming and helpful. The town houses are in fact an annex to the Cyrano de Bergerac french style restaurant featured in the Michelin. So many words to say: We enjoyed, felt very good there and will be back ! Thank you !

We stayed in the 1930s apartment in early July and really enjoyed it. It was spacious, well appointed, comfortable, and included free wifi. The location was also excellent. The apartments are in the heart of the old city, just 1 minute stroll away from the main square and also only a 10 minute walk to the train station.

The manager Agnes was extremely helpful, both at the time of booking and during our stay. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about Krakow and the surrounding area.

We would definitely recommend the Orlowska Townhouse apartments.
