Owner description: The Jewish Community Centre of Krakow (JCC Krakow) is the de facto Jewish visitors center for Krakow, Poland. It provides social, educational, and community oriented services to the Jewish community of Krakow. Opened in April 2008 by HRH, The Prince of Wales, the JCC has quickly established itself as the focal point of Jewish life in the city both for Krakowians as well as visitors from Poland and abroad. Contact the JCC for information about Shabbat dinners and holiday programming; kosher catering; to set up an an appointment with the executive director, our genealogist, or community members. We can also help organize all of your travel needs.

I was a guest of the JCC in Krakow during the recent Jewish Cultural Festival (June 26-27) and attended two sabatt dinners and several seminars and musical concerts.

It is an amazing community, with non-Jewish and Jewish members, reviving Jewish cultural and life in Krakow. At night chairs are set up outside the community and refreshments offered and the visitors and community members get together and the atmosphere is very convivial.

The community is doing great work and it was an honor and great experience.

We really loved our visit to JCC Krakow in June! It is a sight that shouldn't be missed. My son, who is there on a yearlong fellowship has not only been welcomed into the workplace, but has become part of their family. The volunteers and staff, Jewish and non-Jewish, work side by side in a colorful lively space warmly receiving locals and visitors from all over the world. After participating in the Ride for the Living on June 6, 2014, biking with 14 others from Auschwitz-Birkenau 55 miles to JCC Krakow, we were welcomed with balloons, JCC Krakow beer, loud applause and a delicious Shabbat meal. JCC Krakow is all about celebrating life, discovering Jewish roots, learning and building community, so close to where it almost ceased to exist. Stop in; meet the amazing staff, Jonathan, Justin, Avi, Sebastian, Kasia, Anna, Joanna, Ishbel, Agnieszka, and Agata and see for yourself!

Again I visited during the Jewish Cultural Festival. There were 3 or 4 lectures a day there, from learning Yiddish Singing, Question time, and so much more, this was another place I visited every day on one pretext or the other, I have now joined JCC and get their regular newsletters. They have got my 100% support. Also praise for the young people who acted as volunteer, young people who gave up their time to help and assist, nothing was to much trouble.

Enjoyed visiting this vestige of the Jewish population. I ran into the President of the jewish community. He was shy but spent a few moments with us.

Pop in and say hi. This place is friendly, open and welcoming. I attended some very interesting talks and workshops during the festival and everyone I met here was friendly and happy to answer any questions.
