Great facilities and location; I loved the concept of the compact room arrangement. The staff were both friendly and helpful. However, we were on the top floor (room 404) and were subjected to constant noise that can only be described as like a diesel car running its engine. I complained about this after the first night and was told this may be the extraction from the shower which the receptionist turned off; it wasn’t. From the lift area we could see a number of air con units directly above our room - I would say that these rooms are not fit for purpose and whilst I’d consider staying again, I’d insist it were not on any room on the top floor.

Great museum very good displays and interactive. Gets very busy. Would book a trip to avoid disappointment. A bit of a walk from the old Town, but worth the walk.

This is about the Nazi occupation of Krakow and not really about the factory, having said that we did learn a lot and it was very informative walking around seeing the various artifacts on show etc. I still thought this was very worthwhile and glad we had made the decision to visit.

Yes it was very informative about Polish history but after viewing many others over the previous weeks this just covered what I had already learned and various other more detailed looks at the individual parts and was really outdone by the home army museum in many regards. However this is a good a overview of Polish history particularly during the war but there is one small office shown as Schindlers with little information and then at the end there is the photos of all he saved. Felt a little disappointing at the end of the trip would recommend probably doing at the start of a trip to Krakow and be prepared for very little to do with Schindler and no actual factory.

This is a museum on the former property of Schindler’s factory.
This is mostly, (95%) a museum of Jewish life and war atrocities in Krakow and Poland with very little about Schindler or the factory.

This is a warren of confining exhibits on Jewish hardships throughout the war years: All very interesting but not at all what the museum is represented to be.
Visitors are able to walk through Oscar Schindler’s office and there are occasional photos of Oscar, business artifacts, one machine and photos of those he rescued but quite little about the factory and no views into the main factory whatsoever.
One converted factory building behind the museum has been built into a museum of modern art.
Meh.
Don’t expect more than this.
I was generous with three stars.
The factory museum is simply a Schindler ‘store front’ with a museum majoring in the larger atrocities the Jewish community experienced and very little about the Factory.

Nice coffee shop , I wanted to see the factory where the people worked but it's gone, instead it's now a museum, very good one but I would like x the see the machines used whilst it was Oscars.

This is the actual factory where Oskar Schindler saved thousands of Jews from the Nazis and certain death and the inspiration for the Spielberg classic Schindler's list. However, the modern museum is mostly about the Nazi occupation of Poland and Krakow with only a exhibits dedicated to Oskar Schindler, the factory and its workers which are the subject of the famous film.

So as long as you have your expectations correct, the museum is an excellent place to know about life in Krakow under the Nazis, the hardships faced by its people - especially the Jewish population during the second world war.

The queues can get pretty long in the afternoon. Also, the museum is not very spacious and can easily get crowded. So it is best to visit in the morning hours.

There is a huge amount to see here. There are thousands of artefacts, films, photos, posters of wartime Krakow as well as information about Schindler. The recreations of aspects of life at the time are well done.
There is a little cafe (with a rather brusque server!). There is only one toilet at the entrance so there tend to be queues.

Recently visited this as part of a guided 1.5 hour tour booked through trip advisor.
The tour was booked for 14.15 and at 14.20 we were still wondering where to meet the guide. No information was given and staff had no idea and seemed a little disinterested in helping.
The guide however was very good and explained more the Polish history of Kraków as opposed to just the Schindler factory.
The factory however is quite disappointing- you are walked around various rooms with information on the walls and very few original features. I imagine that this was clearly once a working factory but you get to seen none of this. Other than a reception area and Schindler’s office (which has only a handful of original items) there is nothing personal about the site.
The size of the group was also too large - some of the rooms were quite small and with some audio over a speaker and other visitors walking through the rooms it was difficult to hear the guide sometimes.
In Amsterdam the Anne Frank house is well presented and the tour is very personalised to tell the Frank family story. This is not done to anywhere near that quality of that.
