We got the 134 bus here which took about 20 minutes and cost 4zl each which is excellent, buses you simply get on and use the machine which is in English, its very straight forward.Bus stop is not far from the wawel castle

The zoo cost 15zly each which was excellent value and it is under priced in my opinion. We loved seeing all the animals, big cats, elephants, wolfs, aquarium, flamingos, birds of all types, meerkats, beavers, birds of prey you name it this zoo has it.I would recommend everyone visit here its worth the money and you can spend hours here.

The zoo has a little cafe but its not much however doesnt take the shine away from this amazing zoo

We will visit again when we come back

Thanks for a great day

There is almost every spiece of animals. Really large zoo. You have the choice to walk around by a small train. Not expensive entrance.

We loved out visit to the Krakow Zoo, and it was really cheap. The animals enclosures are on the small side (especially the big cats, which were almost cruelly small and overcrowded in some cases) however, this meant you got to see them incredibly close up. And the animals looked well cared for.
A very quiet zoo (we only saw 4 other people in the half day we were there) and lovely to wander around.

The problem with zoos tends to be that the cages are too small, and communal animals are kept separate. Krakow zoo overcomes most of these hurdles, but the big cats, particularly leopards etc, could benefit from larger enclosures with more space between them. The wolves however are kept perfectly, in pairs and in a large open lair. The petting zoo is a highlight and the pigs are adorable. The deer and more northern animals seem happiest, and are clearly in a good way here. Perhaps a little more consistency when it comes to cage sizes would make this zoo outstanding. It is still very good (not the best zoo in Europe, that honour goes to Budapest), and is very cheap, making it excellent value. You need to get a bus from Cracovia though, it's not possible to walk there.

We had an excellent 3 hours at the zoo, we saw everything & more. Back in Scotland Edinburgh Zoo is so rubbish at least in krakow you see the animals, if they are inside sleeping they have an area that you can view them inside brilliant!! Also that the pink flamingoes are just there in front off you with a we shin high hedge Separating them from you and the camels there was no big fences in the way just a deep ditch that they can get up to you but you are quite close to there heads. We all had such a lovely time and would definitely return.
