“Ok but...”
Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

We have just left kazimerz ii , we are a couple in our late 20s.
we had room 302 and the room had a balcony ( the only one ) we were facing the road so the noise from the trams literally shook the room but not enough for it to bother you a great deal unless you are a light sleeper !!! Everything was brilliant and I would have given a glowing report of the hotel But......on the last night a group of men were allocated a room next to our room. The walls are wafer thin and I could hear every sentence that was being said, I could even tell you when someone was using the bathroom, we asked reception if they could move us for the night but because all the rooms were full they were unable too but if the group returned back after a night on the tiles too loud to let the reception know and they would deal with it ! Reception obviously had a word anyway because they came home quieter than they left but it was still loud enough to wake me up ( n I sleep like the dead )
For us this wasn't to much of a problem because we only had to deal with it for a night but this would be a huge problem for someone who had to listen to it for a couple of days!!!
The whole place smelt of cigerette smoke as people are allowed to smoke on the stairway..
But on the possitive side the staff are friendly the rooms are clean, you are within walking distance from most things and the breakfast is nice !
I would defo recommend off peek but it might be a problem during high season with all the gobby stag groups !!!!

Great price of £29 a night including breakfast. Location is around a 20/25 minute walk from the main Krakow station and a 24 and 50 tram will take around 5 to 10 minutes.

The reception is small but nicely decorated. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room 303 was a large family room with twin beds and a rollaway bed. Furniture was basic but functional. The bathroom was nicely tiled although the toilet seat was cheap and flimsy and nearly caused me to slip off at a delicate moment.

Breakfast on floor-1 was beautifully presented with a wide selection of ham, cheese, gobblers etc. Only quibble was the bread was left out uncovered and as a result, a little stale.

If you are looking to stay in Krakow on a tight budget and are looking for a clean, functional hotel I can recommend the K 11

Room Tip: Family room was spacious but over looked the main road. Tram noise but not disruptive

i booked this hotel on pretty short notice, as a flight fell into my lap from friends who had had to cancel their planned new year trip. i was here 5 nights december into january.

like its sister hotel (hotel kazimierz, a couple of minutes walk away) is right at the start of the jewish quarter that then spreads south to the river. i had previously had a very pleasant stay at the other kazimierz hotel so expected this to be of a similar standard. i was not dissapointed. again it is very well positioned with a large number of bars & restaurants close by. it is also only a comparatively short walk to the main square.

my room was a single at the back of the hotel and as has been mentioned by previous reviewers, you certainly dont get a view, but i didnt plan on spending much time in my room anyway. there is a train line that runs along the back of the hotel a couple of hundred yards away, but i didnt have any problem with noise and i dont remember them running at night.

the room was comfortable and very well priced, particulaly due to the time of year it was when many hotels will inflate there prices. as well as the usual T and coffee provided, they also provide free wi-fi, bottled water, safety deposit boxes as well as other frills like slippers etc i've only usually received at hotels charging twice or more this price.

breakfast is provided from 7-11am, with a good choice that covered all the bases. juices, T, coffee, cerials, hot and cold buffet of both the usual sausage, eggs etc and Polish fayre, herrings and various salads along with fruits, yoghurts and pastries, i think you'd have to be incredibly fussy not to find things to your liking here.

i really enjoyed my stay and due the quality and position of the hotel(s), would very likely stay here, or the sister hotel on my next visit.

the hotel is in a very old atmospheric area, the outside looks a bit worn round the edges but is in keeping with the area.inside modern very clean could not fault it in anyway, paid £104 for 2 people bed and breakfast for 4 nights.went 9th dec to 13 dec.area seemed quite quiet, very few people in the restaraunts or bars.3rd and 4th night we were the only people in the hotel,so breakfast was served to our room at the time we wished.could not fault the room size beds very comfy bathroom always kept spotless.clean towels every day.tea and coffee in the room with a kettle and 2 small bottles of water daily for free.even a sewing kit soap and toiletries provided, all staff very friendly and helpful.god modern lift shower nice and hot street view at the front.tram stops very close and atm if you need them close by.only 2 slight negatives studs on the bottom of the shower cubicle very hard going on your feet, and the pillow while large to soft and floppy.for the price and area would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: view at the back not much, view at the front better but there is tram noise day and all night.

A good standard hotel. Great value for money and great location, but it is of course a 3 star, so dont expect perfection. But for a 3 star it is good, only a few small faults. The only problem for me really was the thin walls- I could clearly hear anyone talking in the corridors and next door room. We were unlucky as there was an unusually loud neighbour beside us the first 3 nights, who talked so loud late into the night, we could even hear word for word what he said. Apart from that, our stay was pretty good. The room was spotless, the bathroom modern, the breakfast quite good and the staff helpful. Handy that the reception was open 24/7. Nice to be right next to the Kazimierz district, packed full of restaurants. About 20 mins walk from the historic town square and Wawel castle, and right next to a tram stop with many trams often passing by. Apart from the thin walls, my only other complaints are minor - I thought the bed was a little bit uncomfortable, scrambled eggs were available the first morning but not the following 5 mornings, and our teabags were never replaced so we had to ask for more every single day. As I said, these are just small things and I would recommend this hotel, especially for value.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not on the side with the main road.

my stay here was fantastic. The feel of the place was old style, comfort. The room was a great size, plenty of space and very clean. Shower room was adequate and quite modern in comparison to the room decor. The receptionists were very helpful. The room was on the first floor and was reached easily by a lift, which was a welcome after the walking arourd touring. The hotel was in the jewish quarter and had a ambiance of this. over the road and around the corner and you are the square with jewish restuarants.lovely area at night for a quiet meal lit by many hanging lights. Food was tasty and great prices. From here you can hire a tour from numerous bike/golf cart type city tours. This I would recommend. This takes you around Krakow and into the getto area. We were then dropped of at Shindlers Factory and the young man waited to take us back. It is a bit of a walk into the other parts near the castle etc, but worth thr stroll as you can see much, much more and get the feel of the place. Superb Hotel that has lovely memories and would love to return.

I loved this friendly, perfect hotel. Yes, it is a walk to the centre, but there are direct trams! I met with nothing but genuine kindness and helpfulness. Fab breakfasts.my room was spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would recommend it to anyone.
