Very convenient location next to Wawel castle & the Cathedral within minutes walking of Krakow centre. Staff couldn't be more helpful and the rooftop bar/restaurant has a superb view over the river - An excellent place to relax after a day's sightseeing. Rooms basic but clean and more than adequate for a city break.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet as the traffic is very light.

Stayed here for two nights in November 2013. This is a moderately priced small hotel in a good location beside Wawel Castle and and within walking distance of the old town. My single room was very small, but it was comfortable. One of the reasons for choosing the hotel was for the views provided by the rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the bar was closed the whole time we were there which was very disappointing. Breakfast was good with a good variety of options, and we tried dinner on one night which was also good. Desk staff were efficient.

Stayed here for 4 nights and we were very pleased. The location is perfect - right beside wawel castle and only 10 mins walk from the old town square. Breakfast buffet had lots of options. The room was very clean and staff were nice. I'd recommend the hotel as it was great value for money!

There's a restaurant about 10mins away also called pod wawelem. We tried to check-in there, but the adjoining hotel is actually called hotel royal !!! Just a note in case anyone is confused :L

The hotel is well located near the Wawel Castle and about 10 minutes walk from the main square.
The hotel is relatively new but the furnishings are dingy. The beds are comfortable. There is very little light in the room although there was a large window. The worst problem is that the window does not open and there is no fresh air. The bathroom is nice. The shower is good. Breakfast is passable. Staff are pleasant and helpful. There is a lift so no problem with accessibility.

Dear Michael,
Thank you for the above opinion. We try hard to make the stay of our guests as satisfactory as possible. The hotel has rooms overlooking three directions of the world. All our rooms are air-conditioned, the windows in them open or not, depending on the type of the air- conditioning. When planning the next visit, please book the room suitable for you. If you have any problems which type of the room you should choose we willingly offer our help. Best regards and welcome again.

The hotel could not be better placed; by the Vistula river, below the Wawel Castle, less than 15 min walk from the bustling town square, but itself out of traffic. It is not a luxury hotel, but it has a straight forward good standard. It is fairly new (2006), clean and attractive. Good size rooms, good restaurant (at least the duck and the lamb were very nice) and friendly service all around. Make sure you get a room with a view; we faced the sports field, and the Visltua river, but the de Luxe rooms has an even better panorama. Recommended to the degree that as a first choice we will not even consider another hotel in Krakow. We spent five nights there (so far).

Room Tip: If you bargain with them, it is not a big jump in price to have "the Apartment," room 506...
