“Ideal Place to Stay”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Location just off the Karmelicka was ideal for going anywhere whether it was for a stroll up to the Main Square or to get a tram or bus to somewhere else. The staff organised a taxi from and to the airport and any other trips we went on, nothing was too much bother. The accommodation was great, nice comfy bed, great shower and plenty of space in the room. Hope to return sometime soon. PJM

Cracowdays Apartments is a lovely place to stay in Krakow. When we arrived we were kindly offered espresso, which we happily accepted after flying in from Los Angeles. The staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful.

The rooms are named not numbered. Our room, Frascati, was very comfortable and attractively decorated. There was a nice sitting area with a couch and table, a nightstand for both beds, which is convenient. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was plenty big enough. There is a towel warmer in it, which we also used to dry our clothes on after washing them. There is a nice closet space with shelving for more clothes, shoes, etc. The whole property is very clean.

The property is very secure as you need a key to enter the property and to enter the hallways to the rooms. Also, there is someone in the office 24/7, if a need should arrive late at night.

The common kitchen area is bright and clean, stocked with just about everything you could need-cups, plates, glasses, eating utensils. Even shot glasses for drinking good Polish vodka;) We made use of the espresso maker every morning. There is a coffee maker and an electric tea kettle. There is a refrigerator for guest use and another refrigerator stocked with bottled water and coke. Water from the tap in Krakow is safe to drink and doesn't taste bad, so we drank mostly tap water. Much cheaper!

There is a Mac computer for guest use. But if you don't understand Polish you will need help from one of the staff, as I was told by them it is not possible to get English on it. Also, even though it is a Mac, it had Microsoft windows loaded onto it. Which being a Mac owner myself I was rather confused by that, as its appearance and operation is entirely different than my Mac.

Cracowdays is conveniently located-a 5 minute walk to the trams and buses, about a 15 minute walk to Town Square. There are some very good restaurants nearby also. On Ul. Karmelicka there is a restaurant Cracowdays told us about called Russian Enso Club and Restaurant. It was very good. That became our breakfast place! Also if you are in need of food late at night there is a pizza place also on Ul. Karmelicka that is open until midnight. The chicken wings and green salad were tasty.

There are fresh orchids in pots in the rooms and throughout the property. There are only 8 apartments, so staying there is a very intimate experience. We never saw another guest during our weeklong stay, except in the office area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cracowdays. It became our home away from home. We are planning on moving to Krakow sometime in the future. I would definitely recommend Cracowdays to any visitors I may have.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the Cracowdays apartments. Overall the apartments are decent, and the rooms are decorated to a high spec (villeroy and boch in the bathrooms). However we had a double room which was 2 single beds, pressed together and SINGLE DUVET COVERS. I have never seen this in any hotel before, as a lot make the effort to give you a double duvet, even if it is 2 single beds. The overall experience was a little impersonal. Pre- arrival the staff, couldn’t do more for you, but whilst there you hardly notice another person. We were on the ground floor, so didn’t have to come across reception at all. For some people this might be ideal, but we like to feel as though we are a guest, rather than just using someone’s apartment. Normally we enjoy going back to a apartment on a city break and we just didn't at this one.
The location is fine, about 10 -15 min walk to the centre, but the area is run down and I wouldn’t recommend for a females to walk on their own at night. Overall it is ok.

I would highly recommend staying at Cracowdays while you're in Krakow. They can't do enough for you, from booking your stay, organising a taxi to meet you at the airport (at a reasonable rate) and helping you with anything you need while you're there. The rooms are lovely, very comfortable and spacious with an excellent shower.
Cracowdays is part hotel and part apartment, with a small shared kitchen area on the ground floor, where you can make tea/coffee. The breakfast room on the first floor is lovely and the breakfasts of cereal, meats, cheeses and breads as well as fruit, with orange juice, tea and coffee were really tasty and perfectly set you up for the day.
The location is excellent, just 5-10 mins walk from the old town square, and there is a lovely restaurant just over the road which serves a small menu of amazing food. Well worth a look.

Room Tip: We stayed in Frascati room on the ground floor, which was very quiet. Some lovely sunshine comes thr...

I booked this on the strength of the Tripadvisor reviews and we certainly weren't disappointed. The location is ideally located, only a short walk from the old square and Cloth Hall. The three young ladies who run the apartments (Joanna, Alexandra and Evelyn) made us very welcome and went out of their way to ensure that our visit went smoothly, helping with taxis to and from the airport, laundry, advice and tour bookings. The room was very clean and comfortable, the wi-fi worked well and the breakfast was more than sufficient and good value for money. Say no more - if I come to Cracow again I know where I'm staying.

I have just returend from a trip to Krawow, staying 3 nights at the Cracowdays appts with 4 friends. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Alexandra, who was ready with a beaming smile, instantly offering us all a cup of tea or coffee, and a biscuit. We were given a map and a few useful pointers, then shown to our rooms. Collectively we occupied 2 double and one triple room, and at the end of the stay all 5 of us unreservedly said we were absolutely thrilled with the choice and quality of accommodation. The rooms were all spotless, well equipped, large enough, and immaculately made up each day. We had a Continental type breakfast the first day, which was delicious, and the kitchen facility on the same floor was extremely useful whenever we fancied making a cup of tea or coffee ourselves. This would be a very useful addition for a family I think, since the kitchen has cooking facilities allowing some degree of self catering if required. It was nice and quiet at night, safe and easy to find, and convenient to walk into the main square, some 10 minutes away on foot, an easy stroll. If not there's the Baterogo tram stop a few minutes away, which we used the first day when we weren't sure how far away is was from the main station. We also walked down to the Kazimierz district a few times, which isn't that much further away and easily ok for an averagely fit person. In summary I would 100% recommend this place for a stay in krawow. The price is extremely reasonable, and that in addition to all the plus points I mention in this review, give no reason to look elsewhere assuming you plan far enoufh ahead.
