“Very Good Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

We were there 5 nights and loved it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff helpful, breakfast great. We were there during a heat wave and the room was always cool and comfortable thanks to the in-room thermostat for the air-conditioning. I would highly recommend this hotel.

hi just back from a 7 night stay in krakow amazing city we loved it,
the hotel is in a close area to the main square no trams in the street to keep you awake only the hotel we were in,

we weren't in the main hotel we were next door in the other building next to it 5 nights out of 7 we were woken from 3.30am or 5.30 or 6.30 or 7am

when ever up stairs get up you get woken up people walking a cross the room above thump thump thump or the hair dryer fan in there bathroom hoover front door slaming shut, sqeakey wooden stairs to the rooms for 1st and 2nd floors

we were woken by hoovering at 7am sunday morning from the up stairs were either the hotel staff live or who ever stay on the 2nd floor

we never asked when complaning at reception i would only go back to this hotel if we were in the main building, the plus side the rooms are nice and clean main hotel very nice breakfast very good everything but in the off shot to the main hotel

Room Tip: make sure your in the main hotel we got no sleep what so ever in other building

Stopped here for 4 nights. Good food and clean rooms. Beds are uncomftarble though. Staff aren't the most helpful and they should brush up on their English language skills but apart from that it was great. Krakow is a very pretty city :)

We had used this hotel 7 years ago and found it was in a very good location so decided to try again for our return trip and were not disappointed. The hotel is very quiet so you get a good nights sleep no tram noise as it is on a side street just off the tram streets, if you open the windows you do get the usual traffic noise first thing in the morning but the hotel does have air con so no need to leave windows open. The cleaning staff are also very quiet. Breakfast was good plenty of variety for all tastes and the bread was great and the tea bags were of a good quality. We asked for a double room but got twin beds so just pushed beds together job done.
There was a mini bar in the room was expensive but we just put our own drink in it.

The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the main square that is surrounded by a park area so was good to walk around the outside of the square in the shade as it was hot during our stay.
Lots of benches to sit and people watch.
Krakow is a very inexpensive city we ate in and around the market square every night a good drinking bar was "Vis a Vis" good friendly and quick service on the market square.
Must recommend Boscalola Ristorante -Pizzeria just off the square, We chose a pasta dish each and they were amazing along with garlic bread mixed salad bottle of excellent wine a beer diet coke tiramisu and profiteroles for £32.
Krakow is certainly worth a visit lots to see and do

We chose Poland for our holiday this year & decided on Krakow because of its history & I can certainly say it didn't disappoint.
The hotel Alexander was very close to the main square so was ideal for getting out & about.
The hotel itself was ideal , we were bed & breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at what was on offer , we could choose from cereals , a 'cooked' breakfast as well as the normal continental options.
The only minus point with the hotel was that it didn't have a bar as such but we didn't find this too inconvenient with it being so close to the main centre were prices were so cheap so it didn't make much difference.
The weather was glorious , could even say was too hot.
The city offered lots of good drinking & eating options to appeal to everyone ,we especially loved the soup that came served in a bread bowl ,was excellent.
Krakow offered lots of excursion options, we took in Auschwitz , the salt mines and the city tour and all offered good value for money.
All in all this was an excellent city option & we might even consider coming back some time in the future but maybe in winter when we could take in its xmas markets.
Would recommend to anyone looking to get away and visit a city with a lot of culture and history.

Room Tip: If visiting in summer then air con is a must , we had it but speaking to others who didn't they...
