“Great location”
Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

Stayed here as a group of 8 in December. They were able to check us I early which was handy so we could get straight out to explore the city.
Our 4 rooms were basic but very clean and had all we needed.
The lack of hand towels was a bit annoying but we got the hotel at a great rate so can't be too picky.
It was a easy straight 5-10 minute walk into the old town which was great!
Breakfast was also good and the free wifi was great!

The location was perfect, so central and so close to everything. Breakfast was good also. Great value for money. The staff was very helpful. I asked the reception about tours to Auschwitz and the Salt Mine and they immediately made the booking for me. The next day, the tour bus was at the door to pick me up.
Rooms were opened and locked with a regular key. I would have preferred a keycard instead.

The hotel location is the best feature of this place. Located Very close to the main square, about 5 minutes walking.
Rooms are basic, ok for the price you pay.

I was not very happy overall. We had few issues with heating ( room was cold at our arrival) and issue with water in the shower plate which would not drain! I was wondering how the shower was cleaned if water would not drain and they were not aware ?
Anyway, The response to our complain was immediate. They came to the room to fix the shower and the heating, they had to replace the heater switch as well.

The bathroom as well as the room was clean though very small. They provide you only with bath towel - no hand towels. One day we were left without towels at all - they clearly had forgotten to Place the towels. We had to go down to reception at night when we returned to ask for some towels.
The next day we were left without toilette paper! Being a cheaper hotel should not allow them to not pay attention to these basic service.

The rooms include kettle with tea and coffee which is good when you return to the hotel after walking in minus temperature.

Breakfast is ok, quiet large choice of food. I was disappointed though when i asked for espresso ( they have only have the pot coffee available which is very watery for my taste) and i was charged 8 polish zloty , which is actually expensive in Poland and especially for that bad quality!

Personnel at the reception was not the friendliest i have met. Perhaps they are shy to speak English? They limited to respond to the questions they were asked.
Marta, one of the receptionist, was the only friendly and smiley person there.

I cannot say it s a horrible place but personally i would prefer to stay in different hotel if i happen to visit Krakow again. ( lovely city btw:-)

Room Tip: Avoid rooms by the elevator

Booked myself for 3 nights at this hotel last week and would probably stay there again if I return to Krakow. The only complaint I have is with the bathroom; either it was a smoking floor or the cleaners didn't do a good job at it as it constantly had a smoky-musky smell. Otherwise great location as it's only about 15 minutes walk to the Main Square, 10 minutes if it's minus 2 :) And if you're planning on staying in the room, I sure hope you understand Polish as there were no English channels!

Just a 10 min walk from the center where all the action is. I would definitely stay again. Its comfortable and cheap. Staff are friendly and speak good english. Round the corner is a spar-like shop in case you need anything. They offer food in the restaurant but i cant comment as food was so cheap we ate on the go to soak up as much of krakow as possible.

stayed for 4 night from the 25th november (monday to friday). on arrival at the hotel checkin was very quick. we were allocated room 223 at the front of the hotel which was a double bedded room which was very comfortable..
the room was spotlessly clean. good size with a tv, kettle and mini fridge. bathroom was adequate with a lovely hot and powerful shower.
the hotel is approx a 5 minute walk from the main square. shops and bars within a few minutes of the hotel. very good location.
breakfast was good. good choice of cereals, fruit, yogurts breads etc. ham cheeses and tomatoes, also scrambled and boiled eggs. proper fruit juice not the concentrated stuff you get in some places teas and coffee etc. again dining area very nice.
hotel has wi-fi. just ask for the password at reception. no problem with connection.

overall i found this a great hotel. would recommend it to friends and family and would definately stay again

Good value for money near to main attractions. Hotel room very small but as it is only used as a base it is fine. A couple of small gripes such as kettle not working and only one small towel each but compensated for by position
