5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

We stayed at The Senacki for two nights in May, and our only regret was that it couldn't have been for longer. A wonderful little hotel with an intimacy that is lacking in the chain owned hotels, and an approach to customer service that could embarrass many of those who think they've got it right. The staff at the Senacki HAVE got it right. Klaudia, Dorotka and Jan from reception, along with Jan from the bar - you are an absolute credit to your employer, the hospitality industry, and indeed to your country. Absolute jewels in the crown, every one of you. You helped to make our first visit to Poland a very special one, and we will certainly return to The Senacki in the future. Love and very best wishes from David and Celia.

We stayed here during April and it was an absolutely brilliant stay from the moment we walked through the door! The staff were a fantastic help, changing the date of our check in without any problems and also were able to book us another nights stay on short notice. The receptionists were able to recommend places to eat and tourist attractions to see during our stay. They were even able to recommended local hangover cures which was greatly appreciated. The bartender Jan (sorry if we spelt it wrong) was fantastic and deserves credit for making our stay something to remember. The hotel is in a very central location, a 5 minute walk from old town. Our room was tastefully decorated with modern appliances. Breakfast was delightful and included a variety of hot and cold food available. Would definitely recommended this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Krakow! The staff should be commended for there work!

Room Tip: 103 is a great room, with a view of St.Peters & Pauls Cathedral.

My husband and I stayed for four nights May 6 - May 10. The hotel is beautiful, from the minute you arrive nothing is too much trouble for the friendly and efficient staff. The room we had was on the second floor overlooking the main street and was perfect, spotlessly clean and with all the facilities you could wish for. I loved Krakow and stepping out of the hotel day or night you were straight into the middle of all the busy and happy atmosphere. To the left the beautiful main square and to the right the castle and the Jewish area. If you are considering going to Krakow definitely book Hotel Senacki, I assure you, you will not regret it. We were fortunate that during our stay it was hot (30 degrees, I believe) and sunny so Krakow was so beautiful. We now want to return at Christmas to visit the Christmas market and experience winter in Krakow, we will definitely return to Hotel Senacki

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor overlooking the main street, this was perfect very quiet at night...

We stayed midweek 29 Apr - 3 May (which included two national holidays 1st May Day and 3rd Constitution Day - there was little disruption to the quality and variety of services available)
Hotel itself is superb. Our room was on the top floor 4th. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious and it's smallish window overlooked St Peter and Paul's church opposite (where the orchestra of the City of Krakow hold regular one hour long concerts in the evening). Please note the hotel lift goes up to floor 3 so if you're not keen on steps then ask for a room on floors 1-3. Staff (eg Claudia on Reception) are polite, efficient and very friendly. Hotel location is wonderful - you're 5-10 mins walking distance from the Old Square one way and the Royal Castle and Cathedral the other. Schindler's factory (worth pre-booking to avoid queue) is slightly further away, but if you're not keen on walking then you'll find what can best be described as elongated golf buggies circulating around ready to take you where you want and for a more grand tour there are plentiful horse drawn carriages around the Old Square. We went around the castle & cathedral (NB some parts are free so you don't have to queue in the long queue that forms at the SINGLE booth Castle ticket office for timed tickets for later that day), but if you do want to see the State rooms, private apartments, Crown Treasury and Armoury then it's worth pre-booking or an early arrival at the SINGLE booth at the ticket office is recommended. The Hotel helped to organise a trip to Auschwitz/Birkenau - a respectful way to remember the past. (Claudia's tip to take your lunch with you on the c 6 hours trip proved invaluable). Great places to dine are the restaurant Pod Wawelem (opposite Castle) and Pod Aniolami - close to hotel same street - for both of them please arrive early or pre-book to avoid disappointment. Many of the attractions of Krakow are located close together in this delightful compact city that's easy to get around.
Wishing you a great holiday when you go there. :)

Room Tip: Lift to Floors 1 - 3. few steps takes you up to Floor 4

Dear “KeenEye64”,
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us and other TripAdvisor readers with your detailed feedback, I am glad that you had a positive experience after choosing Senacki Hotel.
We helpfully organize for all guests almost anything to guarantee a memorable Krakow holiday.
Our location is truly ”wonderful”– half way from the market to Wawel Castle, within a walking distance to the Kazimierz Jewish Quarter with museums, bars and frequented pubs.
Pod Aniołami restaurant is a great choice, and is located only a few meters away.

Claudia and rest of the team will be certainly happy to hear that you had a pleasant stay with us.

We are looking forward to welcoming You again at Senacki Hotel!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while visiting the wonderful city of Krakow in April. We travelled from Hawaii to Austria to visit our Godson and family. We wanted to visit Krakow and the immediate area for a few days and wanted a truly Polish experience. The staff of the hotel Senacki was excellent. They went out of their way to provide outstanding service, making recommendations for places to eat yummy things like pirogi's, arranging for airport transport, assisting with airline check in, help with directions and always with pleasant smiles and courtesy! We will definitely be back to Krakow and hope to stay at the Hotel Senacki again in the future.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room that fronted the main street and found it very interesting to view the church an...

Stayed at this small hotel for 3 nights . All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was the usual cereals, yoghurts, choice of eggs- omelettes, scrambled etc , cold meats and cheeses and criossants( rather undercooked on Sat 4/513 ). We were put in a top floor room which had the advantage of being further away from any slight street noise but it would have been nice to have actually seen the street through the tiny poky windows! The carpet was a migraine inducing black and white zig zag affair- not conducive to relaxation. But otherwise a really good find so centrally situated between Wawel Castle and the centre of the old town- just a few minutes walk either way.

8 of us have just stayed at this lovely intimate hotel. Staff are charming and helpful, rooms lovely with a/c, and breakfast unusually good. Brilliant bacon and egg, as well as usual continental offers of cheeese and meat. The hotel could not be better situated for walking around Krakow, though the street outside was a bit noisy for those in our party who opended the double glazed windows. The staff heard it was my birthday when they saw me opening cards in the bar before going out for an evening meal. On my return a lovely little birthday cake with a candle was delivered to our room at about 10.30pm!!

Room Tip: Suite 101 was lovely, but we did have it as an uncharged upgrade (I presume because I organised the...
